So many of our’s playing passes behind their teammates today so we lose any momentum. -

Had the ball around the box with plenty up in support, we pass back to the half way line, dick around there for 60 seconds then lose possession -

If that final attack had been in the Prem, the attacker would have found the defender’s outstretched leg and we’d have had a penalty. -

Nahki did well to pinch it but Joe Williams was napping which started that attack. -

How fantastic does this kit look? Fair play to all involved. -
To be fair, it’s the first time this season we’ve had a strong bench. As such, our 5 subs can maintain the standard of our starting 11. 5 players make up 45.45% of the team so we can expect to do 45.45% better. 45.45% better than 1.375 points per game is 2 ppg. 2 ppg is 28 points. So we are simply theorising that we outperform this by 2 points. Drink the Kool Aid!

All of the above but City win at Carrow Road works for me.

Yeah whoever that is has been asking some fairly thoughtful questions in a manner that is disarming. I like his style, hopefully someone can put a name to the voice.

Even with a game in hand it looks tough for Hull as they face 9 of the top teams. Lots of opportunity for points to be dropped.

I have watched City for far too long to even be confident of winning the next two against 22nd and 23rd but had a spare 10 mins so thought I'd investigate. I think I would start to believe it was possible if we do somehow beat Wednesday & QPR.

The last couple of results has seen various members of OTIB start to dabble with dreams of what might be, so I decided to look a little into what those clubs who may still harbour ambitions of qualifying for the play-offs may face in the remaining games. The consensus from various threads seems to be that firstly, Leicester are up & Leeds/Soton/Ipswich are fighting for that other automatic spot and secondly, that teams down as far as Cardiff in 14th, may have some level of hope that a good run-in could see them take one of the remaining play-off spots. With one of the easiest run-ins I think West Brom will need to do very badly in the games against their rivals for the play-offs to not make it, so that leaves the teams in 6th to 14th chasing one-spot. Of those sides, we currently have the least amount of games against the top4/play-off chasers so key to our hopes will be the other 8 games we have. We know from years of following City that we are unlikely to win all the games against the sides 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd & 24th but if, as a play-off chasing side, we did, that would give us a base of 68 points to add to with our 6 game against sides in one of the two promotion races.

I don't think any match officials adopt conscious biases but I do think they are subject to unconscious biases in favour of the perceived better teams/players.

Play-off Numbers (not going to happen) are satisfyingly round

.....and you'd likely get close to those 10/1 odds just betting on us to win the next 3 games and rolling the winnings after each game. -
I hate to piss on the 15 points from 7 dream but two of the games are Ipswich (away) and Leicester(h). If those are draws we will have done very well. That said, we have it within us to win a game against QPR, Sheff W, Cardiff, Swansea and West Brom. So 17 points it is.

The "advantage" where Mehmeti took two touches before being tackled by the same guy who fouled Conway? To me, that was a short enough time to find it incredulous that he didn't pull it back for a free-kick. Southampton then got a corner from our "advantage" instead of us having a free-kick just outside the box and their player wasn't even booked.

Did you miss the pelters Dave took for posting a “Great Result but…” thread after the Boro win as he wanted to discuss the reasons for our backs to the wall second half performance? This was Dave giving credit where it’s due with a bit of self-deprecation thrown in. Not sure I’d call it clickbait.

I reckon tonight’s bench is amongst the best we’ve had at Championship level and will only get stronger with the return of Pring, Twine and Atkinson. It’s the hope that kills you!

Our biggest problem is the number of times we take a directed first touch but then the Leeds players are at the location of the ball the same time as our player in possession is and oftentimes they are then stronger than our player and the ball is turned over.
