  1. I only got home 15mins ago but I hope we’ve been playing like this all game, we look good.
  2. I still can’t see us bringing in more than 1 player so for me it has to be a CM with some kind of creativity about him (and ideally a degree of ability to resist the opposition’s press), unless we are totally convinced Naismith can stay fit. Without this kind of player we’re a little bit too predictable and I can’t see us improving much on last season, maybe 10th to 16th.
  3. Bailey Wright deserves a ban for this!
  4. I’ve heard over the Summer that City had a red line that the first instalment had to be £10m. It wouldn’t then surprise me if the remaining £10m was split into £5m payments in 24 and 25 which would match a FFP reporting period, just for convenience, not to satisfy any criteria.
  5. I’m fine with the destination as it gives us a better chance of securing a sell-on fee, potentially reducing the need for future sales. You may as well keep your OTIB account for this time next year. If you want Tommy, it’s £20m for a seat at the table!
  6. I now hope that Alex has the most stellar few years at Bournemouth, matching all the add-ons, becoming a full international and going for a £100m fee in 3 years’ time, netting us another £15m. That might mean we don’t have to sell anyone in the Summer of ‘26 ?
  7. £25m deal and a promise not to select him for the opening few weeks to protect the line he had a knee injury, gets you a seat at the table.
  8. £1m on Bournemouth winning the PL £1m on Bournemouth winning the CL £1m on Bournemouth winning the WCC £1m on Alex getting called up to the Brazil squad £1m on Alex winning the Ballon D’Or
  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pearson isn’t handed any funds from the sale. I’m not so sure the Lansdowns are as big fans of him as many of the fans are and a season in lower mid-table would justify not offering him a new contract.
  10. We could pretty much sub in Sykes Conway & Mehmeti on the hour mark and run Preston ragged.
  11. If you open it in the Edge browser on PC, you can click Immersive Reading in the address bar and the whole article becomes available Works a treat on some sites that other methods fall foul of.
  12. Given the compensation is likely to be around £10m if he sees out his contract, we would not be forced to sell for £5m (presuming you meant £5m not a fiver ?) next Summer. I fully expect Alex to get called up to the U21s this season, regardless of whether he moves, and I barring a long term injury, I don't see why we would get any less than £20m next season, especially if he carried his pre-season more attacking gameplay into this season for us. He might even hold his value. If we got promoted his value would increase.
  13. But now it makes sense why he rates Wilson so highly, he has invented "alternative facts" to be able to overlook the failings the rest of us judge him by. My favourite thing about Robbored's Wilson side was how they were all tee-total and tucked up safely in bed by 8pm on a Saturday evening.
  14. By designating the upcoming shirt as “the away shirt,” we have placed greater emphasis on the fact that it has not yet been released. In reality, we have already been provided with a home strip and a change strip, and it is only the club’s designation of these kits that has created this sense of anticipation. If the kit we were waiting for had been designated as the “third” kit, its release in September would not have garnered as much attention. In my opinion, this approach was taken to increase the importance (and potentially sales) of the September release, as this will be a one-season shirt, compared to the other strips being 1.5 season strips following the collapse of Hummel UK. It's also my hope that our kits with O'Neills will improve over time. If you consider that kit releases are normally a 12-18month process and O'Neills provided the two we have already on very short notice, allied to the fact they don't have a long history of providing football kits, it stands to reason that in time they will improve.
  15. Imagine if the away kit was white with a blue splat Robin woven into the design ?
  16. I heard it was actually blue and white ?
  17. Probably waiting until the day we sell Alex to bury the release given how well received the blue kit will be.
  18. AI is why we don’t really need to worry about climate change. In time it will get more and more powerful and will successfully find the solution to solve climate worries by getting rid of us.
  19. There's absolutely no justification in article for the opening line. An article claiming "Bristol City considering placing a £259m offer for M'bappé" would be based on as much evidence.
  20. I love checking the transfer forum and seeing the Alex Scott thread has only grown one page.
  21. Or going to games, just wait till May and look at the final table.
  22. Some joker on Twitter now thinks Wolves are gonna put a loan offer in for Alex. This would add credence to the stuff about them not being able to afford our price I guess.
  23. The flip side of the argument is seeing how well Bobby Reid did after firing them in that pre-season. I'm elated that all our forwards are in goal-scoring form and I'd really like Cornick to add a couple more tonight.
