Has anyone considered that maybe O'Neills have had supply issues and we had to order a knock off from China for the new signing reveal??
-
If anyone has a code they don't intend to use, would you mind sharing with me? I work most Saturdays so had to give my ST up a few years ago ?

The difference now is these players winning youth tournaments will graduate to an already better performing senior team ?

Just that CB unless Scott goes. Who we go for will depend how much is left in the pot. No idea who but when it is leaked I’ll for sure study @Davefevsreport to work out if they’re any good ?

I suspect we want to do two more signings and are making sure we try and get Knight for as low a fee as possible to protect what budget remains for the last signing (replacement for Kalas)

Which of the changes impacts small clubs hoping for a run the most? The only one I’d say would be lack of a replay if a payout is the determining factor, but the change means deciding on the day would only require one great performance to knock out a Prem club rather than two with replays. The other stuff regarding scheduling and TV rights makes no impact to their chances of a run. Conversely, presumably the TV rights will lead to increased prize money.

Inspired by Rangers right?

He's the first Alex Scott (well, if you ignore the other England capped Alex Scott). Maybe they were previewing next Summer's chase for Sam Bell and got the names mixed up? -
Taller than Styles at 5'7 and a damn sight more talented but this is the Knight thread ? Edit: my mistake, we are having the Styles conversation in the Knight thread, not the one that was started for Styles. As you were ?

Starting to get the Grealish legs now, added some bulk over his short break. -

That's not the choice though is it?! The club have so far worked within what the expect the budget to be and haven't pre-spent any Scott fee. At the moment we are still spending Semenyo money. If we got our sums wrong and we needed to plug a financial hole next Summer to avoid a FFP penalty, Alex doesn't suddenly become a free transfer because he only has 12 months left on his contract. You are being alarmist. We can either sell this Summer and reinvest, or see how keeping Alex with greater defensive solidity behind him serves us and sell if that doesn't equal promotion. But failing FFP is very unlikely imo. -

Thoughts from an optimist: Start gives us a good opportunity to gain that much sought after thing in football, momentum. No long runs where you might wonder where a win is coming from If we are in the mix at the half way stage, we will have already got the away games at the relegated Prem clubs out of the way.

No-one has had a bid accepted yet and his season just ended. I'd be straight off on holidays too. Nothing to stop him "thinking" if a bid is accepted whilst he's away.

Kane Wilson to Derby - Confirmed

When Pep plays a back 4 in big games he has been erring towards playing Akanji and Walker at FB who are both capable CBs. I believe as we’ve switched to a back 4 Nige is simply thinking along similar lines. If we can tighten up our defence by about 10 goals a season, even if we don’t improve in terms of goals scored, that’d put us right in the playoff mix. -
Like the versatile Alex Scott? Useless that lad!

The club will be very aware of Knight having presumably done more than 1 scouting trip on Roberts. The good news is if we are in for a midfielder and it isn’t Knight, it’d likely be a good player regardless.

I guess that would depend on the communication along the way. You can still be respectful and say there may be a chance to expand your horizons abroad that you’d like to explore but if it doesn’t work out and you still want me, you’ll be my first choice. -

It could be higher next season. I expect him to get U21 caps next season even if he stays with us, and with a more solid team around him I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play with greater freedom and improve on the most visible output stats, goals & assists, in a play-off push. -

If West Ham were to decide that Alex Scott is their preferred replacement for Declan Rice we can have them over a barrel…. PS - someone can tell Alex that Sullivan has been bad-mouthing him ? -

Anyone mind if I delete all posts on pages 2-27? Less chance of a transfer happening if the thread is only 2 pages ? -
I assume because of the fee he thinks he’d command. If the initial fee was lower around £2m (with add ins that took it to that range) and we gave a 4 year contract I think we could work it better with Amortisation (I’ve been trying to learn from @Davefevs lol)

The latest media reports suggest he has the chance to join the MLS, if he does that he’d be an almost certain starter and if he doesn’t join Inter Miami he may well get to play against Messi in his career (if he hasn’t already for Nice). If Inter Miami is the opportunity then it’s play with Messi, absolute no brainer!- 1774 replies
