Sell multiple players? Conway and Pring the prime candidates in 10 months time. So exciting.

When is the next U21 fixture? Will we be able to pick a full squad or will these players be required to play for the age group?

If Nige wants to sign players before deadline day he should download Football Manager. -
Massengo - Signed for Burnley

The knowledge that we will likely not make a loss this season will give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside as we labour to break down teams every fortnight at Ashton Gate. Who else is excited to think how much we can get for Conway in the Summer? Our balance sheet could look pretty exciting over the next two seasons ?- 246 replies

If we took the contract offer off the table would that also remove our eligibility to compensation? -

I also think he'd have paired well with Knight in our current midfield. -
And yet Williams and Knight ably demonstrated that these chances are often missed.

Kalas - Signed for Schalke04
Ian M replied to Kid in the Riot's topic in All Things Ex Players and Managers
For what it's worth, Opta do "Power Rankings" for all clubs in the major leagues. It's quite possible Kalas may be one of Schalke's star players. .....and for funsies -
Noticed in the article that even though he won't be one of West Brom's high earners given he came through the Academy and is still quite young, we are only paying a "percentage of his wages".

I'd say Bell's pace with the ball is often similar to the average Championship full back so the key will be to get Nais playing slide rule passes and asking Bell to play on the shoulder of the FB, once he's behind not many catch him up. But he's not quite quick enough to glide past if he isn't already ahead.

When Nais isn't making mistakes, he improves us so much when playing CB. -

Anyone else still worried the Lino may flag offside? -

Whoever is directing this, choose another career, football isn’t for you. Offside goal so the replay you choose to show is from behind the goal at the other end of the pitch ?? -
Nige often used him at Right Wing Back in his early games. Not a million miles away.

Who can we sacrifice to free up salary space?
Ian M replied to Simon bristol's topic in Football Chat
The slightly depressing side for me is the club appear to have taken the stance that incoming transfer fees will have no effect on the wage budget. I then look at our most likely sales next Summer (Conway and Pring) and they won't be on high wages having progressed from the Academy so we will be left looking to replace from within or lower leagues only. Fair enough, if SL has decided to stop plugging the hole each year, that's his perogative, his money his choice but that strategy has a reasonable chance at seeing us drop down the table unless recruitment is damn good. -
I’d rather neither of us had to ?
-
Cute that you think I’d still be here to carry out that request ?
-
Reading between the lines, I’m preparing myself for that being the reality. I’m just really hoping Johnson Jnr doesn’t ask SL for another crack at the job.
-
Lots to like about this deal, a good age and seemed to be developing into an 8 first having started off at RB (similar to Alex) and a reasonable fee agreed that we aren’t necessarily tied to if the new manager doesn’t like him.
-
Sounds like he didn't get much service from the rest of the team

I'm not very well and I don't know where else to go
Ian M replied to Porto Red's topic in General Chat
We were asked in another thread why we had left this thread "hidden away" on the transfer forum and I'm afraid I wasn't in a position to answer at the time. However, this seems an appropriate reply to explain that personally I left this thread here because there were multiple people invested in this thread by that time, getting and offering help from it and knew exactly where to go to check on the thread's progress. I thought it would be an inappropriate time to move it. -
I've swapped the discussion thread to the main forum for visibility and moved the locked post pointing to this to GenChat to ensure wherever people are on OTIB they see that support is out there.

For the 30 mins I caught, we were good value for the win. I've decided to follow the advice above and not back-read
