Let's just win the second half 4-1 again like we did last time away from home. Come on JET!
-
As someone who was there, this doesn't ring true - anyone else agree/disagree??
Very audible on commentary with many occasions of "advice" being heard to be offered....even whilst ahead 1-0.
-
I don't quite agree with those who say he failed at Championship level. Any manager worth his salt will do a bit of research and note in his two spells in the Championship, he had one at Doncaster where he played in between midfield & attack and impressed & one at Ipswich where they stuck him out the way on the wing & by-and-large he failed to impress.
Back in his correct position, playing between midfield & attack, he is now showing exactly what he can do & I think it's naive to think there isn't a lot of Championship clubs that could accommodate him in a 451 or as a deep lying striker in a 442. If they sign him to stick him on the wing then they deserve the P45 that will one day come their way.

More likely that O'Driscoll spends half his life whining to the Post instead of getting on with his job.
Part of which is conducting interviews with the press?

A lot of people are still not getting it. The club statement was very clear. They want to create a family atmosphere at the club, and anyone who acts or behaves aggressively is simply not welcome at the club.
The warnings have been clear, not least after the Cardiff game. The club have a zero tolerance policy on this matter.
What amazes me is that so many people think that the club (or the police) won't follow through with their threats.
What else does the club need to do?
Well as others have mentioned, not use photos of fans committing a criminal offence for publicity to show the passion of the fans. I'm sure if I was arrested for simply entering the field of play I would be arguing that the club turn a blind eye to it on occasion and promote it on others and it requires a consistent approach for the charge to stand. Something or other about precedent. But in the first instance I'd ask my brother for some free advice.
-
No way, you don't get out of it that easily!
Have you ever been on the pitch at the end of the season? If so you should follow the club's wishes and ban yourself for life too. Looks like I will be saving myselfa shed load of money!

Got a txt from a mate who's Brother got done for the same thing this morning all he did was run from the Dolman to the Williams exit by the Ateyo.
All he has done is get caught up in the moment and excitement of beating your local rivals, sorry but totally over the top.
Lifetime ban?
I admit I went on the pitch after the Rotherham game and shall hereby ban myself for life from Ashton Gate.
-
Maybe best to wait and see what they are charged with, before assuming that it's just those who ran on the pitch and made a few hand gestures? (surely not)
I haven't seen any of the news footage, so - a serious question - do Police just batter the door down straight away, or do they give the occupants the opportunity to answer a knock?
Someone on my road got a "knock" this morning around 10am. That's what it was, a riot van turned up, 5 officers piled out, I shouted out to them they were all at work and they knocked on the door anyway & left when there was no answer.
cant help but feel the OB have given this as much media as possible so as to make them not look quite so bad for the shamefull job they did on the day, remember them announcing the zero tolerence that would be in place on the day !! yet they let people do what they want and failed to control crowds all day long.
yes people have to brought to justice for wrong doings but what about a report into the way the game was policed ? If the police had done therre job properly on the day half of the problems wouldnt have occured!, the 'yellow shirt' bloke was the ultimate example, twice on the pitch for both goals and was allowed to remain in the stadium to appear on the pitch again at the end!
I suspect the OB are publicising it in the vain hope that it puts other people off repeating these actions the next time a needle match takes place. This won't happen though as I think everyone involved knows that if you commit a "crime" at a football match then you will have the book thrown at you. Why they then go and do it anyway is anyone's guess. (Probably the alcohol hey redeye?)

Doesn't Marv have a great record against Watford?!
I think someone may have mentioned that above but it seems no-one else is listening

Marvin is on. Disaster.
Erm, doesn't Marvin usually score against Watford???

No, just putting forward a possible scenario.
GJ isn't the infallible manager some of you believe him to be, and he'd better improve things in 2009/10 or he'll start to get some serious grief during matches.
He isn't infallible but he's not exactly rubbish either. He's the manager who has just led us to our highest 2 finishes in the last 30 years.
Can you honestly not see (at least) 3 sides in this division in a worse position to succeed than us?
-
I get a frustrated as the next man when someone posts a comment including the line "A good source has told me....."
But, a good source (journalist covering the Midlands region) has told me that Gary Johnson has applied for the job at WBA, but that the club have other preferred options ahead of him.
I was rather shocked when he told me that GJ had applied, bearing in mind his recently signed 5 year contract.
Please don't shoot the messenger!
If he's anything like the journalist covering Bristol City then he'll have picked up his information from the internet and have a conviction for being almost twice the legal alcohol limit whilst in control of a motor vehicle.
That said, in his defence, he was only "moving it" which as we all know is completely different from "driving it".
-
Or, stay at BCFC, continue to play the negative football experienced throughout much of season 2008/9, slide down the league, on the dole by the end of the season.
Do you also do weddings and bah mitzvahs?

So true. But how a player, like I said, gave it away numerous times in the 2 nd half and put the rest of his team mate under pressure was award MOM is baffling to me.
Fontaine was immense and would of got the MOM from me.
I agree.
Doyle was a striker who was linked with £10m moves to the Premier League in the last window. What exactly did he do on Saturday? Liam did a proper job on him.
Fontaine is rapidly becoming one of the most important players in our side and I wouldn't be at all surprised if clubs from the League above started paying serious attention.

Whilst it's a good thing not to be too blazé about our opponents tonight just assuming a win, it is also worth noting that I imagine this will be the game that the majority of City players (especially Tommy) will be the most "up for" this season.
There was widespread indignation after our 3-0 defeat earlier this season as it was truly the lowpoint of our season. Many players were criticised heavily after this game, none moreso than Tommy who even had a fair number of fans calling for the Board to kick him out of the Club. If the players aren't motivated to beat Wycombe (and heavily) tonight then they never will be and should consider different careers in my opinion.
City to win by 3 clear goals with Tommy voted Man of the Match
