It was a fantastic strike to win any match and if only you could hold more than just 4000 without additional tent pegs, more Gasheads would have seen it.
I reckon you need a new venue, ideally one with all satellite TV channels available, no horses, and room for the floating 20,000 Indonesians on Facebook.
BTW Wael has been asking for credit for weeks. All the banks have refused so far.
Curiously he comes from a family who own their own bank.

They think it can't be made pay on the day because that will allow Cardiff fans to buy tickets joining them in the away end once the Cardiff stands are sold out.
1) It's the League Cup First Round
2)They're Bristol Rovers, not Man Utd
3) There won't be any space for Cardiff in the away end once all the "Faithful and True" supporters are in there.

Given the news on Facebook that they actually have more followers than us it makes the fact their attendances are always worse than ours an even bigger indication that they have the worst supporters in the country. Faithful and true, what a joke

I've missed this so much. Pages and pages of text that can make or ruin your weekend.
Here's to a fantastic day and let's hope the only things missing are those three little letters no one likes to see...
Am I the only sad bastard that reads the thread back when we win?

add to that the 50 over stuff ends today until the end of July
Kent 100% the best limited overs team - that's twice they've spanked us now this season
Oh well on to Glammy in the T20 tonight - shame the forecast is not great - oh well an evening the Ale House it is then. Just hope the coach load of coked up morons from the valleys don't turn up again this season
We are far too inconsistent to be the best. We aren't even qualifying for the next stage of either limited overs competition last time I looked.

Somerset pay some of the best wages in the land are probably better supported than most. It's not that i expect silverware, it's that I expect us to be in contention and not fighting relegation each year.
But you don't have the "glamour" of playing in a big city at a Test match venue. The Surrey's, Middlesex's, Lancashire's etc will always have that going for them as well as paying good wages. It will also be in a player's mind that if they have international ambitions they are better off playing for one of those counties as they are the ones the selectors pay most attention to. How many times do Kent, Glos, Somerset cricketers put in top performances all season (Kent notsomuch with the "good performances all season" but Darren Stevens should have had a one day career) and when an injury occurs the call goes out to the latest Test venue county player to score a big score?
-
Tom is always gonna be tough in the first division for any of the non Test venue counties. A good season is simply staying up. I see the changes to a 8/10 split to be favouring the haves even more. Question needs to be asked, would the ECB be happier if all the have-not counties like Kent and Somerset just gave up and they could crack on with a City based franchise around the Test venues? I'm sure if they were being honest they'd say yes.

Kent have raced to the victory target of 175 in 30 overs, epitomised by the last batsman Alex Blake coming in, facing 3 balls and hitting each for 6. Get in!

Bloody Kent always seem to beat us.
Well we haven't beaten anyone else, so thanks for that
Things look to be a bit better this season (for Kent) after a few years in the doldrums. Tried well & Haggett have skittles Derbyshire out for 94 this morning to give us a chance of getting our 2nd victory of the season and it's still only May!

And if you were a Rotherham fan coming out after the game after a good win how gutted would you be to hear we`d won at Forest and you`re still 8pts behind!
If I were a Rotherham fan I would be pleased that MK suffered a late defeat. City wouldn't even be on my radar given the form we are in.

How good does this look ? let's hope we can take at least a point .
If we can somehow sneak a win we could head up to the dizzying heights of 18th!!

God the moderation is a bit harsh on their site. Saw a Red got banned for this considered post :/
I'm defiantly not gutted. Obviously you are all getting a bit excited about, which is fair enough, the same happened when Lansdown happened.
If anything, this may make City push further on, for obvious reasons.
There is however a danger to the deal you've just done, just hope it ends positively for you lot.
Woo woo! -
We are not allowed to be awarded penalties.
Ridiculous.
-
@Ian M might know more about Davies if he's not pissed we've nicked him..
can't say I do other than to say we have previous for bringing through young wicketkeeper batsmen.
-
Caught on the break 4-1, blatant dive and its Hamers fault, yep only on Otib.
In the modern game you are gifting the attacker a pen by going down. It's not right & we can cry about that as much as we like but stay on your feet it's not a pen.
-
He didn't touch the Leeds player, the Leeds player pushed it past him and dived to the floor.
I've watched it 20 times now and it was 100% never a penalty.
So you can't blame the keeper.
You see it every week, as soon as the keeper goes down with no chance of getting the ball a pen is about to follow. It's naive goalkeeping every time.
-
Spot on. He made the decision easy.
The player was already heading wide too. So angry that we have gifted them the lead.
-
Such ridiculous goalkeeping from Hamer for the penalty. There was no way he was getting the ball & as soon as he went to ground he was gifting them a pen. I was already screaming "NO!" before the Leeds player went down

Mine's my season ticket.
That's normally the last thing I look for having spent the morning confidently knowing exactly where it is so not needing to double check. Just about to leave, go to pick up my season ticket, not there. Arggghhhhhh!!!!
-
Because it takes a bit of effort my friend and if it gets on peoples nerves I have better things to do.
I quite enjoy doing it and am happy to continue doing it but, for me at least, its quite nice to know how it sits with the majority.
Hope that is alright with you.
The irony of me telling you to post what you like whilst questioning what you posted

Is this really a thread?
It's a public forum, why do you need the blessing of other users to start a thread?
Just do it anyway & if they don't like it they can ignore it (or more likely post on the thread how much they don't like it).

Kent's quarter final clashes with the Brentford match
4 different dates for the quarters & my team play at the same time as City. Brilliant.

Lends credence to the "Williams out" rumours then. Be interesting to see the Barnsley lineup today.
