  2. It was first sung I recall about Frank Worthington back in the day.. Leicester fans singing Frankie Frankie Worthington and the East End drowning it out with wanky wanky Worthington
  3. Chicory Tip Son of my Father Or have I got the tune completely wrong?
  4. Fascinating story, you had me on the edge of my seat there Robbo ? How about telling us about that away trip you thought about going on..............................but decided not to bother to go in the end. Or the time you were going to call in to Radio Bristol and slag off GJ.................................but couldn't be arsed should be ? ??
  5. Luton were League 2 when they were signed I think.
  6. Who's Davinia ? The papers say the woman allegedly assaulted was his partner Kate Greville. Does he just punch every woman he disagrees with?
  7. Fair enough, I took the option BT offered to donate my bt sport fee to the NHS so unfortunately they're going to lose the 50%
  8. No, it's the full price you paid before. 5 games a day though..from noon till 10 pm so get plenty of beer in!
  9. Check your Sky account....they've already implemented the sky sports subscription from 19/6/20. My dd goes out on Monday and I saw on my pending transactions on my online bank that the sky payment was increasing. Interesting that the increase was actually put on before the PL announced the start date! ..well I suppose Sky are running football nowadays.
  10. BBC only have 4 games, it hasn't been stated how these will be shown but I imagine it will be on the BBC Sport website as the press release refers to BBC Sport not BBC TV. The rest split pro rata between Sky BT and Amazon according to their existing ratio I guess. Sky have agreed to show 25 games ' free to air' . They're will be streams everywhere though so everyone can watch if they want.
  11. only in the relegation zone for (the last) 20 minutes of the season ....surely that was unfair and a special case should have been made to allow them to stay up
  12. You had to ask? Of course it is
  13. M49!Yes he does do hospitality sometimes. I've also seen him Going into the ground /turnstiles with all the other fans. I watched him from the time he made his debut to his injury v Stoke/Shilton and his unsuccessful comeback attempt v Birmingham. Hugely talented player, strong, fast, hard shot, brilliant in the air, and didn't allow himself to be bullied or intimidated by some brutal monster centre halves who would today be red carded within 10 minutes of every ko........and only 22/23 when he had to quit so huge potential. As stated in the thread his treatment was badly handled by the club and each day he ran up and down the Dolman steps in excruciating agony. - and did it because he was told that was the best "rehab" and all he wanted was to pull on the red shirt again - it was actually making his injury worse each day......sports science was non existent then and he'd probably have got the same bad treatment wherever he played. A £50M player in today's game. To think in 1976 we had so much talent that came through the youth/reserve team : Cheesley Merrick Gow Ritchie Whitehead Collier Fear etc and now despite the millions spent on the academy and the £70M spent by LJ on 50+ players we have never produced any players as talented!
  14. Couldn't get any shopping today - Heaven knows I'm miserable now
  15. I was at Newport as well- and the next game at home to Fulham when I think it was 4? young lads made their debuts. Both games so memorable for very different reasons.
  16. Very much so - remembered by the fans and those of us around at that time who bought shares. I suppose the present club don't want to dwell on an episode that was before their reign and doesn't read well now in that the players were shafted from all sides . They didn't have much of a choice as the old club (their employers) were going bust anyway and the new regime made it clear they couldn't afford to take over their contracts. The 8 did what they had to do to smooth it through and ensure we continued but as I say they didn't have much of a choice. Different world now and I see the millionaire Sol Campbell backed a winding up order (he's owed £180K in wages along with many other creditors) presented to the High Court that would see the demise of Macclesfield.
  17. Maybe, we know he's Renown* as a bit of a Stag with the ladies, but will get the same Acclaim with his puns * lovely classic
  18. Cardiff Vile club Vile fans Vile manager Vile owners
  19. This - it was all over their website when the plane went missing "always a bluebird" and "one of our family"...... Until they realised there was a chance to wriggle out of paying. What a vile disgusting club they are.
