  1. Awful score but he will be judged on one thing at end of season and be gone if it isn’t delivered. Guess time will tell but they can of course come back from today but also could go on a horror streak. Be interesting to see what happens but should he not deliver promotion then not can’t see him getting another big role again.
  2. Way too early to say but some encouraging signs. Relies on us keeping our best players and replacing dross like COD with cheap gems. I’d be hoping for top 10 next season though.
  3. Pretty fair comment - it was a closer 2nd half and Archer looks a player in the making. I didn’t think it was a foul on Pring but not seen replay yet.
  4. Even the most pessimistic fan should be accepting city as safe. Even when playing horribly we weren’t bottom 3 - that’s how bad the bottom of the table is. We had loads last season saying we would go down 10 games before the end - we stayed up by 8 points despite being a joke. It’ll be a lot more this season. 44 was safety last season but won’t be anything like that this time out.
  5. Don’t rule out Derby yet - they win tomorrow and they bring Cardiff right into it in terms of catching them as I think Forest will win at Cardiff no problemo. Obviously rule them out if they lose tomorrow and Cardiff win! I’d say Barnsley and Peterborough are doomed. It’s one from the other three for me. Don’t forget that if you take out Derby and Reading points deduction, Peterborough would be miles adrift so I wouldn’t consider them in the mix to survive.
  6. I don’t remember three. 2 shouts - first one went out for corner and their lad won ball. 2nd one he got his legs tangled and somehow ref gave them a foul.
  7. I didn’t think any of our shouts for pens were actually pens but with Semenyo we will win one soon.
  8. Won’t have to worry about relegation - which is a massive positive as after Birmingham away we looked in trouble. But won’t be troubling the top 6 either as we are too soft at the back at the moment. Hopefully next season will be a good one!
  9. Thing is that even if we could hang on, we wouldn’t be top 6. We’d have thrown it away elsewhere because for 90% of this season we’ve looked poor.
  10. We might even have enough points now incredibly. 2 months ago we looked like shite. We are now dominating games both home and away (last 6 except Fulham). Still a few weak links like COD but the signs are good. I can accept late goals against this season when they don’t matter. However they might next so it needs fixing.
  11. We all know what he should have done and I’m sure he does too. He’s looked good this season overall and will continue to learn and improve. City are on the the up at last after 2 seasons of being shocking - luckily it doesn’t matter too much but it might next season. Better it happens now but frustrating of course.
  12. In what respect? We aren’t going up or down this season so it’s annoying but part of the learning curve for most in the team.
  13. Come on. Yes he cost us today but of course he isn’t thick. He’s shown real signs of improvement and will only get better.
  14. Pring cost us 3 points at end sadly. Another good performance on road but instead of 4-6 points we have 1 this week. More encouraging signs but more to learn too.
  15. We aren't anywhere near the relegation mix. I reckon only 3 more wins are required- in fact even if Derby get above Reading then on run rate we need 2 wins. Barnsley are gone and Peterborough couldn't even hang to a 2 goal lead with 5 mins to go. Looks like them, Cardiff, Reading or Derby will take the other 2 slots. We can beat the bottom sides like Cardiff, Barnsley, Peterborough so we will get the 3 wins - even playing as badly as we were 2 months ago etc. But yes things have been improving ever since QPR home. Improve that soft centre at set pieces and we have the makings of a top half team who can keep on improving.
  16. Played well in open play tonight - again a very encouraging display. But we are making it too hard to win each week by conceding at least 2 every game. But things are much better than 6 weeks ago and hopefully we will continue to improve. Scott excellent tonight.
  17. We are almost safe with todays win. I don’t think we are anywhere near as bad as your Peterborough’s etc - in fact there have been signs we are playing much better lately so hopeful for a safe mid table finish rather than bottom 8 or something.
  18. Webster has looked pretty good tonight - be good to see him considered for England in March.
  19. I said at time we did ok Saturday - anyone in league would be smashed right now and we at least put up a fight for 40 mins. We are improving!
  20. We were also dreadful whilst we are improving now. I don’t see them as crucial myself - think we will be safe long before the end.
  21. This kind of result just proves we’ve got pretty much nothing to worry about in regards to relegation. Signs of improvement and 11 points clear. Beat Cardiff are we won’t be too far away from safety as I reckon 42 points max.
  22. It’s making what used to be a really competitive league a bit of a joke. It’s now getting like the prem where hardly anyone new can get up. Blackburn are doing well and along with QPR it shows what standing by good managers for 3-4 years can do for you despite not having great funds. City will need to do the same with Pearson.
  23. They are a team on incredible form - we weren’t awful by any means today. We can’t be expecting a league 1 cb to compete with Mitrovic. Last 4 games I think we’ve shown real progression in terms of performance. Unlucky v QPR, good 2nd half v Millwall, good last week against a weaker Fulham and we know the score today. Don’t think anyone in our league could have lived with them today.
