  1. It was a terrible decision - the soft signal thing the real problem there.
  2. Satisfactory day all round if you want to see cricket on day 4... I was going to see England (football) Sunday but now I'm going to see England so that is something at least after the Euros ticketing shambles.
  3. He averaged 41 in the first game which is only slightly behind his career test average? OK got out cheaply today but he isn't exactly in horrific form.
  4. He was but we've all made mistakes at that age - I know I have anyway. There is plenty of stuff I did at 18 that I wouldn't have done at 28 or even 21 and I didn't fully understand things etc. I wouldn't expect my employer to now say you did x 20 years at 18 so we are suspending you (unless it was something crazy illegal etc). We all know its naive - there is no argument there and the social media thing these days means you can't get away with anything so you have to be even more careful. I personally don't think we should be looking back to what everyone wrote 10 years ago as a teenager with too much interest unless its clearly something he believes/thinks/acts that way now. Form his point of view, the reveal of those tweets couldn't have been worse with the 1st test in front of fans with cricket doing their equality thing before the match. Didn't know about the Yorkshire thing but could be related.
  5. Because the suspension clearly relates to those tweets which were written almost a decade ago when he was a teenager. Terrible tweets but its ott to back to it now - usual over reaction by media etc. If they are reviewing something else and looking into other tweets/social media then fair enough. However they should also have done their due diligence in advance - amateur stuff by ECB. And yes I agree on the Boris thing being laughable - still think they are right in their thoughts on it even if they have a poor history.
  6. Weirdly I kind of agree with a Tory minister. Wow. It's a way ott reaction as per usual but he will be back soon hopefully.

    Runners!

Just starting to get back into this after got injured early January. Taken about 3 months to get back to half marathon which I did in 1 hour 54 on Monday. On New Years Day I did my best of 1 hour 47 so still a way to go but amazed by how long it took me to get back to even anywhere close. 6 weeks out made a hug difference - starting to see why it takes so long for footballers to get back to speed after an injury.
  8. England should have done due diligence. Not a big issue for me - we are different people are 18 to how we are 10 years later in many cases. Luckily I think this will be forgotten pretty quickly.
  9. That Conway looks a real quality - amazed it took him to 30 to become a Test player.
  10. Just accept he is a streaky manager. Not brilliant and not terrible overall (OK like his time here) though we know he talks bollox often. If Sunderland get on a streak, with defenders back, in the play-offs they will win them.
  11. Actually quite enjoyed series 1 of this.
  12. What a game cricket is - best sport for me.
  13. Touching wood but good partnership here giving England a chance. Living stone looks a good player.
  14. Not massively surprising with Australia unlikely to open borders fully this year at least. I'm hoping for West Indies tour March 2022 for travel but even that is a bit of an unknown a this stage sadly.
  15. I haven't paid for a City game in a long time although considered today - glad I didn't with the cricket.
  16. Getting smashed despite an incredible catch.
  17. I mean that is why he only did OK not anymore. Had good streaks and then bad streaks - sadly a lot of bad streaks came when we needed a good one to make the PO's. I'm not sure I would describe being in play-offs in October as crashing out. 17/18 and 18/19 were the most frustrating when we were in genuinely good positions and playing well. Last season we were in the play-offs but I can't say I ever expected us to be in them despite being in them with 16 games to go which is why he had to go so again not sure about the 'crashing out' bit. We will have to see if he has learnt anything from his time at City over the next 2 months I guess.
  18. Glad to see Al Boum didn't win again but annoying it wasn't A Plus Tard!
  19. Enjoyed that game though - been a good series and set up nicely for a finale.
  20. I don't see the issue with LJ. He did OK - not brilliant or terrible. No idea why the opinion is so polarised on him. At the end it didn't work out in terms of making the top 6 but he certainly didn't do a bad job. There were a lot of good other signings I think he made. Bentley, JD and Kalas are really good I think. He also had a hand in improving Joe Bryan although others were responsible too. You can debate some like COD, Fammy, Hunt, Nagy, Elliasson but certainly they aren't bad players. There were a lot of bad ones too for balance. The fact that City were a top 10 club for the last few years of his tenure suggests the signings and the squad assembled can't have been that bad. Then thing that annoyed me the most about him was the crap he talked which has been highlighted by even his biggest supporters.
  21. The only benefit of doing it at Sky would be cash back if 2nd-4th if a win only bet. Oddschecker such a good site for working out best odds and places. Lots of Sky and Betfair ones where they do to 7 or 8 places where everyone else doing one or two less. 13:20 - Tax For Max 50-1 13:55 - Edwardstone 20-1. Eclair De Beaufeu 7-1 14:30 - Barbados Bucks 8-1. Also small bet on The Cob 25-1 15:05 - Frodon 14-1. A Plus Tard 3-1 15:40 - Staker Wallace 8-1. Chameron 18-1 16:15 - Magic Of Light 18-1. Salsaretta 25-1. 16:50 - Gabynako 6-1. Frontal Assault 11-1.
