The offence is ABH  "According to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the offence of ABH is committed ‘when a person intentionally or recklessly assaults another… causing actual bodily harm’."

From the prosecutions case today Barton was intent on getting into a scrap with Stendel (or a pushing match) which caused Stendel to fall off balance and hit the side of the tunnel causing injury including the tooth coming loose from the bone.

This seems like it'll be a category 3 (although could be a stage 2).

"The sentencing guidelines for ABH fall into three categories, with

Category 1 is the most serious and involving greater harm and high culpability.

Category 2 involves either more significant harm but lower culpability or lesser harm and higher culpability

Category 3 involves lesser harm and lower culpability."

Given Joey's past History it could honestly go either way if he's found guilty he could be locked up or given another suspended sentence

    Thanks BRB ??

    Efl have no bottle

if it was the other way round with Wycombe and derby the efl would of relegated Wycombe by now

100%. This is a perfect opportunity for the EFL to start to rebuild their reputation and take a sensible (loathed to say hardline) approach and do what’s right. But no doubting that it will be same old, letting the bigger clubs get away with it as they’ve got no bottle.  Pathetic really.

Chelsea, offered a few million for him years ago.

If he has a good season, he will rise in value again.

    I

I think this is it. If he doesn’t show improvement then we don’t lose too much value, however the upside of keeping him and him progressing next season could be huge and vastly outweigh any downside.  All a punt of course and lots of factors to consider not least as to what he wants himself and how he would react to any move being turned down, but that’s why we’ve appointed a serious manager - to make these decisions and hopefully have trust in the ones he makes.

Please re read your last 3 words. Thanks.

I’m fine thanks, I’m not the sad person indiscriminately and publicly having a go at folk who are getting off their backsides trying to put together something positive for the City fan base - for free as well. Something which as has been pointed out you do not need to listen to. What a sad thing to do. But I’ll stop feeding the troll now.

Tried this for the first time today.....absolutely dreadful.

First im subjected to a shamless gambling plug, then a Facebook group and then they start talking about Cricket? Are the presenters serious or trying to take the piss with their comments.....I couldn't work out if it was a failed comedy sketch or a genuine serious BCFC podcast. Toilet and phone jokes? Sorry. Terrible.

All 3 of those on the podcast don't seem to know anything about football tactics Bristol City or anything football related.

The one by Headhunter I think is better.....they actually talk about football tactics and the club....straight forward Bristol City talk. Not faultless.

    Sorry. Absolute garbage.

What a ***tish post, to out of the blue have a go at people putting something together off their own backs which you can choose to listen to or not. Presume you’ll be setting something up in competition to the team that put this together then, given how awful you think OSIB is. Surely you can do better?  No?  Thought not. Probably wise as well given the nonsense you post on here most of the time. Get a grip.

Totally agree LR. We are seeing this creeping into the game a bit more now and we have to be careful in how it's dealt with. I don't want people to think that I'm only laying into Bristol or England players either. I was only complaining to my friends about a couple of the Munster players chatting back to the referee the other week against Clermont. There was also at least one Clermont player waving an imaginary card, which I'm sure nobody wants to see.

Dylan Hartley got an 11-week ban for calling Wayne Barnes a ******* cheat. Obviously more serious than what Sinckler said but I expect him to get a couple of weeks to cool off all the same. It's good that he's apologised but he needs to be very careful. It's not the first time he's lost his cool on the pitch. I don't really care about a bit of swearing being picked up on the mic but when it's directed at the officials then it's another thing entirely.

Yep, Bristol, England, Lions, Bath, Ireland, Munster, Stade Francais, Dings, whoever - it needs to be stopped. Can’t believe Dickson didn’t do anything at the time - may have helped KS if he did!

It doesn’t bother me at all, but that was the clearest swearing I’ve ever heard at a rugby or football match on tv. The commentators are always apologising for ‘language’ but I rarely hear what they are appologing for, but Sinckler’s was loud and clear ?

Rugby seem far, far less tolerant of any abuse or backchatting to the Refs. Most of the Refs treat the players like they are in a PE lesson and they are the teacher.

Maybe as Sinckler is an England International and an example as such they are making an example of him?

Agree - in fact the constant apologising annoys me far more than the swearing. But this time it was pretty shocking from KS amd direct at the ref and deserves some sort of censure imho. Getting annoyed with the way refs are starting to be treated, and shouted / sworn at and it needs curtailing IMO.

I think the fact he apologised almost immediately (on Social media) will have helped, hopefully. But will he be that big a miss?

Hadn’t seen that M, hopefully his contrition will help though.  Think he will be a pretty big miss for the European games yeah, if they go ahead of course.  Be good to have him for Bath as well to put the screw into Obano and show Stuart how it’s done!

Agreed. I don't like to see that.

Cited and faces a disciplinary panel tomorrow.  It was so extreme that I can’t say I blame them even though it will put us at a disadvantage if he’s banned. Hopefully a wrap on the knuckles and a fine.

The ground looks like one of those eastern European outpost stadiums from the 70s

I live over this way and my dog walk sometimes takes me in the vicinity of the place.  It really is so bad for this day and age.  From the outside it looks like something exactly as you describe - early 70s but without the East European bit as some of their stuff was interesting architecturally at least.  The Mem is just a shit pit.

Should be interesting to hear what Radio 5Live have to say about the 'Swamp', presumably using some words that they're currently looking up in the dictionary...to express the full horror.

Not heard what they’ve said about the Swamp but they’ve been bigging up Tisdale and the team.

A few might be interested in this, experiment going on or planned anyway in Holland.

I think for the next couple of months at least crowds being back will be off the menu completely.
