  1. Slightly off topic but the promotion chase in League Two is very interesting - all the automatic spots have been decided but everyone from fourth down to 14th still in with a shout of a playoff place.
  2. Hollow head - five successive defeats and not yet mathematically safe. Wouldn't that be something...
  3. Apologies if I missed this earlier in the thread but how many did we take up there today? An attendance of 14,000 reflects pretty badly on Blackburn - I know they are protesting their owners but this was a huge game for them.
  4. After the delight Bluenoses took in Villa's demise last season Villa fans will be looking forward to the Second City Derby on St George's Day. Will be a very tense affair - policed of course with great humour and the laid back attitude synonymous with West Midlands' finest... Toon losing - get in. "We're a big club!" W***ers.
  5. Well done City, great way to bounce back from a couple of abject defeats. Bristol Derby in the second tier next season?!?!
  6. If we have a Bristol Derby in the Championship next season then all things considered I won't complain (much). You lot have annoying knack of rallying to reach the playoffs against the odds (07 springs to mind!)
  7. Totally - need to see the bigger picture here. This competition makes a mockery of the game.
  8. And Leicester fans thought it couldn't get any better than winning the Prem...
  9. What an absolute pile of festering nonsense... Sheffield United ‏@SUFC_tweets 1m1 minute ago Leicester City win 5-4 on penalties to secure an extra point #twitterblades
  10. Sheffield United ‏@SUFC_tweets 9m9 minutes ago Both teams secure a point following a draw after 90 minutes. There will now be a penalty shoot out for an extra point #twitterblades
  11. Oh, I think the boycott has worked and a good thing too... 461 at Wimbledon 392 at Fleetwood 950 at Chesterfield These are paltry attendances and send out a strong message - hopefully the EFL will have a long, hard think before they further try to wreck the integrity of the pyramid. EDIT: Swansea's starting XI had squad numbers which added up to 340 more than the total attendance for their game at Wimbledon.
  12. For those who are still chewing their nails, the BBC website began the Hillsborough match report thus: "MK Dons' relegation was all but sealed..." Oh, and here's a useful analogy to our situation - Manchester City could still win the Prem if they win all of their games and Leicester lose all of theirs. Anybody see that as even a remote possibility? Staying up.
  13. Hugely disappointing and a lot of work needs to be done if we are to cut the mustard at this level long-term but MK Dons haven't a prayer of catching us now.
  14. Too early for Xmas Carols? Foo-King Useless last lost out on the Feast of Steven-age.
  15. BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year next month...
  16. Bernie Bresslaw as Rovers, because they're absolutely MASSIVE.
  17. Good point. once he's finished with Rovers, a move to Swindon would do very nicely. Then Cardiff and Plymouth.
  18. Boycott merely temporary. They'll be back (in their "tens of thousands", obviously) soon enough when Rovers go belly up and have to start from scratch in the Wessex League like Salisbury did this summer.
  19. Ben Cuthbertson I wonder who the CEO of Sainsburys supports? City? Wycombe?
  20. I wish their FB page would update with the result, I was going to give it a like, cheer 'em up a bit. Meantime, we'll have to do with this: Chris Kelly Believe gasheads. Believe that tomorrow truth and justice will be in our favour. In god we trust. Forever gas.
  21. Yes, I've trawled through it once or twice. Sturgeon did OK last night...
