Some good points . The palmer deal was an utter joke though as Johnson had barely used him when he was on loan. He clearly had reservations about him so for Ashton to go ahead and pay 4m (iirc) for him and over 20k a week in wages really beggars belief.

My point was more a dig at the people that signed them (and in the case of palmer barely used him). we simply shouldn’t of been paying those sorts of fees and wages IMO. It was reckless and nearly cost us big time

Anyone remember when the league was suspended when COVID broke, within a week almost every side in the bottom half of the prem was bleating about how relegation should be scrapped that year. don’t be fooled into thinking that sporting integrity exists. I hope it does happen one day as it would completely kill the prem. most of the games would be meaningless without relegation

Very true. We knock it around lovely in the main and are so much better organised. So much improvement this season. BUT despite creating loads of promising situations in many games ( eg. Watford and first half today, don’t even get me started on the reading game) we don’t score enough goals. We don’t even work the opposition goalie enough, our shooting is powder puff at times. If we can improve that for next year we could potentially have a shot at the playoffs
