Some Rovers fans now saying they are the third richest club in the country haha

..and yeah I do call the board out on this! I'm Fed up with how they are untouchable when it comes to criticism just because they write off their own debts year on year.
Shambles

I would argue Preston ate competing. Not msking it look hard are they.
Exactly. Fed up of people making out like we shouldn't be competing at this level.
There are clubs far smaller then us who have proved it is doable.
Our failure this season is all to do with the sheer incompetence of our manager and faceless board

Depends who's job it was tk sign those players. As far as I was aware ac gives a list of players and that's his part done.
You Could say sc should be pissed as his title romping team has been dismantled and with a couple of signings is expected to compete in this league. I think we're doing alright.....what did you honestly think was going to happen this year?
What did I think would happen?
New, revamped, modern, 27,000 all seater stadium, billionaire owner, won the league title at a canter and won a cup to. We had a squad that oozed youth, togetherness and confidence.
I expected a few new experienced signings to help these players and to at least be punching mid table.
Please don't make out like this league is some sort of impossible task. Clubs like Bournemouth, Brentford etc have cracked it, we should be at least competing at this level.
There are absolutely no excuses

There are so many fickle people out there. Everyone was loving sc last year. Give him and the team a chance. The season is far from over. Do we really wanna be a club who constantly gives the manager the boot. Even if we did get relegated there isn't a better manager available to get us back up.
If we manage to stay up this year our squad will be the better for it and with the lessons learnt this year in the transfer market who knows what could happen.
Do you honestly think....if we go down, he would be the right man to get us back up? Do you honestly think it works like that?

Why is he deluded is the season over ? did not the teams below and above us get battered tonight
Doesn't matter what the team's below us are doing. We all know Bolton and Charlton are screwed.
Our club is an absolute joke. Take your Bristol City specs off....and if you were looking as a neutral at what was going on at our club, you wouldnt give them a hope in hell of staying up.
Deluded clueless manager and a clueless board at this level.

I wouldn't blame the board at all. Lansdown has been prepared to forge out £9m on one player, just a shame he didn't want to join. Cotts is the issue, I'd say.
They are all responsible. There is no way Lansdown gets away with no blame at all. The fact he has let a manager get us in this position is a disgrace in itself

I'm starting to develop a "I just don't care anymore" feeling towards this season...
Totally agree and feel exactly the same way. It's why I didn't go tonight.
The club, Cotts and the board are getting exactly what they deserve this season. I for one don't feel sorry for them.
The lack of transfers in, the way we let two senior players leave, the constant deluded interviews from the manager...
Pathetic .

Don't criticise our open attacking play ,cause that's the Bristol City way.
Absolutely laughable isn't it

Glad I chose not to go tonight.
0 shots on target in what....135 minutes of League football now?
-
Absolutely pathetic. Really is. The board has to act now.
Forget winning games, we are barely scoring goals now.....scratch that, we arnt even getting shots on target!
I feel sorry for the fans that wasted money on going to watch that rubbish

82 minutes.....still no shot on target.

We haven't even had a shot in target yet.
....but Steve won't "abandon our attacking style"

Gas winning, local Derby looms large next season - what a sickner
And we would only have ourselves to blame if this happened. It's actually laughable to think of it to be fair.

Not a happy new year so far...
Yeah two bad results so far indeed.
These teams seem to be scoring goals and picking up results . I just hope we dont start getting cut adrift

He thought we were the better team first half and doesnt want to talk about signing new players in case it upsets his group of lads, mystifying.
Please tell me he didn't say this?
Please tell me this is a "whoosh" moment by me?

Bit harsh on the Charlton forum. Saying they couldnt believe their luck and we were awful! We were hardly awful. Finishing was awful but our build up play was superb.
Funny how other fans see it isnt it.
Superb? We really wernt. Sorry but I struggle to see what some of our fans see sometimes.
We were poor first half, but they were woeful. We improved second half and we created a lot more....but they were still woeful.
It was a poor standard of football on show today.

You're 1-0 up, giving the opposition a good thrashing and you finally get the penalty you deserve. The ball crashes against the underside of the bar and...
a) bounces down on to the line, spins past the keeper and into the net. You score a third as the opposition collapses, and the run continues with a hard fought victory two days later away from home. It's the start of the climb to a mid table finish.
b) bounces down on to the line, spins out, and the keeper clears. Your heads go down, the opposition gets new hope and scores in the last minute of injury time. The run continues with a stuffing two days later away from home. It's the start of the slide to eventual relegation.
That's not the fault of the players, manager, chairman, or boardroom cat. That's football
Normally I would agree that it isn't the fault of the players. Sometimes players give 100% but they just arnt good enough.
Today was different though. If they had put a Sunday morning striker out there today....I would have expected him to take at least one of those opportunities. It was embarrassing.
As for the manager and the board....You can blame them for the absolute mess we find ourselves in at present.
In fact...I don't know what is worse. Today's finishing....or the way our club was managed in the summer by the powers that be.
-
We got exactly what we deserved today. Our performance in front of goal was nothing shy of embarrassing.
No excuses and anyone that can take any positives from today...Well, let me have whatever your taking.
Laughable.

The problem with this assessment is that our best player and one of the top scorers in the division plays in the final third. Personally I think our biggest problems lie in midfield. Smith excellent; Pack and Freeman inconsistent, very little competition for any of them.
I agree we need a midfielder. However we are desperate for a striker. Absolutely desperate. Wilbraham isn't good enough and as For Kodjia....a promising talent yes, but he doesn't half miss some chances mind!
Midfielder and striker is a must

Having spent a bit of time reading through this thread, I am truly amazed at how bitter some of you lot come across.
It's disappointing that they now have a chance to kick on but some on here seem so desperate to put them down, that you cling to anything and make yourselves look bitter and petty. "Oh Lansdown still has more money" or "be careful what they wish for"
Will it pay off for them? Who knows....but can some of us just stop acting so bitter . It's embarrassing
