  1. I’d like Ramsay in our midfield, but I’m not a fan of loads of loanees.
  2. Boro have got three (Steffen, Giles and Ramsay) quality loan players in this team. Ramsay in particular looks class at this level.
  3. Weak from Max. Giles is a big threat down our right.
  4. Oh, Andi. Got to score himself or lay it on a plate for Bell. Poor.
  5. Here’s two to get the ball rolling - Holloway and Nathan Jones
  6. In theory, I totally agree. In practice, given more than two decades of largely poor appointments, I wouldn’t trust the Lansdowns to get anyone better to kick us on. There’s no evidence to suggest that would be a good move.
  7. I think he’s far superior to either of those.
  8. Excellent display and result, especially with our injuries, Stoke’s form and losing two more to injury today. If I was being critical, we should’ve won by more. How Wells missed the target, I don’t know, and Weimann missed a similar chance to the one Vyner scored from.
  9. Even when we’re down to the are bones, too
  10. What a miss, Nakhi. Simply has to score and doesn’t ******* hit the target
  11. Southgate deserves loads of credit, but when it comes to the crunch he doesn’t have the tactical nous to win a major trophy IMO, which has the potential to be another tremendous waste of the talent he has available. And I would absolutely love to eat the whole humble pie to be proved wrong. Webster is class and could play for England; not for the first time in his career injuries are the problem.
  12. Pring was one of our standout players again on Saturday, hope he wins it.

    Kane wilson

Is he going to dislodge Tanner, though? Unless he gets injured or banned, I doubt it and we aren’t in the habit of playing tombola with the squad under Nige.

    Kane wilson

Nige said yesterday that Wilson’s playing catch up and that when the games are coming in quick succession, training isn’t as intense. That makes sense to me, especially as training intensity probably drops when players are on international duty, and I wouldn’t be writing him off or reading too much into it just yet.
  15. Well, I wasn’t far out, was I? Conway in for Cornick is the only difference.
  16. —————-O’Leary———- Tanner—Vyner—Pring—Dasilva ———James—Taylor-Clarke— Cornick—-Weimann—Mehmeti ——————Wells————— The back five should pick itself, Nige has been very complimentary about OTC, King might get the nod over James, same with Bell over Mehmeti or Cornick. Other than that, I don’t see what else we can do.
  17. Love it. I’ve got so many tales of being in that golden triangle of pubs, most of which involve the Grosvenor. Ain’t been in there for a while, mind. Wonder if Clive’s still running it. The first time I ever walked in there I was offered some loot nicked from Asda and some ‘freshly’ caught rabbit wrapped in newspaper! Standard! ?
  18. I like the Barley Mow and the Little Grosvenor around the corner was an old haunt of mine. Is the Apple Tree still going?
  19. Morrison’s the one I’m looking forward to seeing, although not sure what position he’ll nail down longer term.
  20. Yep. Similar incident at home to Luton, the one involving Freeman. In both cases, it looks like he feels hard done by and takes the law into his own hands.
  21. Agree but it’s pretty petulant from Sykes. Shades of Beckham on Simeone back in ‘98. He gave the officials a decision to make, retrospectively or not.
