    If so:

    Same

Ha ha!! No, I’m lucky. Mrs ID loves gardening.

More the consequence of a long walk yesterday, and realising how much gravel there is around Portishead!

In place of drives, gardens and even whole flowerbeds.

Looks horrible. Ends up everywhere! Ugh!

    The media.

Recent events that they are totally obsessed with:-

    1. Kate's photo editing. No one cares, except the media.

    2. The date of the general election. No one cares except the media.

…….and a whole bunch of Tory MPs!

Fun fact: They never use RIP (or R.I.P) in Australia or New Zealand. It's always "Vale" - Latin for farewell.

Which is interesting, because the Latin for “rest in peace” is “requiescat in pace” and that’s why you’ll still see R.I.P. in some non-English speaking countries.

(And in Italian it’s “riposi in pace” - still R.I.P.)

People who write or say RIP, when what they should be writing/saying is R.I.P.

This also applies to people who say “VAR” like it’s a word, when they should be spelling it out, as it’s three separate words.

I wouldn’t mind someone saying RIP VAR though……😆

Trendy signs for toilets that aren’t clear and leave you uncertain when you enter. ( sorry about that  ladies !)

What’s wrong with male or female or ladies and gents ?
    Here is an actual sign.

    Which one are you ?

Good one! And, yes, I’ve seen a couple recently where I genuinely haven’t had a clue. I guessed at one, and at the other I waited to see who came out!

Risky though: there’s one or two posters over on a particular thread on the politics forum who’ll have something to say, and likely at inordinate length, if they spot this!

There is an issue generally these days with cars getting considerably bigger than they were only a decade or two ago. We're buying more biggies.

I drive a Mini (well, you know what they say about blokes with big cars, the reverse is obviously true :whistle2: ) and it makes things much harder to reverse out of parking space when you've got an X-Trail parked on one side and a Toureg the other. Even worse if it's a Hilux or something, driven by someone who is obviously neither a farmer or builder.

I can't berate unnecessary 4x4 owners as Mrs R has a Qashqai, but that's teeny compared to a lot of the monsters you see on the roads of Somerset.

And all those garages built in the '60s and '70s have gradually got smaller and smaller...!

    No. He didn't say that.

    Thank you EA.

Anyone with half a brain, or at least with an iota of impartiality, would realise that he wasn’t talking about formations, tactics, personnel but about how individual players perform or carry out what’s been practised or planned. He can’t affect how Nakhi Wells finishes (or not) the relatively straightforward opportunity to put us 2 up on Tuesday.

Good luck with your efforts at being a rare voice of reason on this forum. I’ve had it with reading what’s become an endless stream of not just negativity but of vitriol and pure hatred. There seems to be very little debate or discussion any longer. Just a determination to find fault and blame at any and every opportunity.

I’m sticking with the politics forum for a while….it’s a far more civilised place, far more sensible debate and discussion, far more respect, and far less vitriol.

If we don't win Sunday then we're definitely in a relegation battle!

I don't care how well we've played against the better sides, i can't see us getting anything from the West Brom and Leicester games.

We could then conceivably be 3 points or less above the relegation zone!

Admittedly i do believe we're probably only around 8 points off achieving safety but our form since the new year massively concerns me as to where those 8 points are coming from!

Sunday is a massive game for me!

It's not inconceivable - looking at the weekend fixtures above - that even if we lose on Sunday - four of the nine team below Swansea get a point each and the remaining five get nothing. In which case - another game less to the end of the season - we're no nearer a relegation battle than we are today.

And it's also not inconceivable that we'll do better against either WBA or Leicester than we will Swanseas!!

I'm with you on the 8 points. I think we'll get them, and I think we'll get 8 after Sunday too. But it would certainly be nice to get three of them Sunday!

When you’re driving/in traffic, and you can’t see round the car/vehicle in front, to see what’s happening on the road, because of the size of it.

Random I know, and probably a bit niche because I’m short!

Hardly random though: I reckon about 50% of our collective pet hates are driving related 😄
