  1. By the way if anyone needs cheering up, check out LJ's last few post-match interviews at Fleetwood. 3-0, 3-0 and 4-0 in last 3 games. Plenty of BS Bingo as usual, 'Box Entries', 'Pitch Personalities' etc etc but he's also now started using 'aware' as a Verb! As in a player 'should aware us of the injury'. Still head and shoulders above LM
  2. To be honest 12 months is probably an average time for a manager in the Championship at present. Michael Duff got 19 games at Swansea and they're 18th, which is about where I expected them to be this season.
  3. Well Brentford seem to manage that perfectly well and Derby took a chance.
  4. Yes very funny particularly after more than a few on there reckoned we were in meltdown after losing to Norwich. I mean things maybe a bit worrying here but pretty much their best 11 losing to Crawley Reserves, that's another level.
  5. Insane. Is every club who aren't getting to the top 6 going to sack the manager? Alex Neill must be a dead man walking at Stoke. Warner would most likely have gone if we'd beaten Norwich.
  6. Yes I'm worried, we're following Birmingam down the table for similar reasons (play stupid games win stupid prizes) and the bottom 3 corpses are now showing some signs of life. If we lose at Huddersfield then we'd be just two points ahead of them and could be behind Plymouth. Both teams that will be nearer the bottom than the top. Stoke are also in trouble. Next 3 games are pivotal, once you get sucked into the bottom 6 it's difficult to get away. Interesting footnote - since we and Birmingham sacked managers we've had 3 wins between us and 2 of them were home to Sheff Wed!
  7. So they're all clapping themselves on the back for building a brand new stand that's inferior to the Atyeo (30 years old, dated and the worst stand at AG) in every single aspect... I look forward to comparing their new 'concourse' to what's underneath the Atyeo.
  8. I think you've answered your own question there!
  9. Surely having large solid pillars that close to the pitch must contravene safety rules? Thinking of the Bath City player recently who suffered a bad head inury after colliding with something pitchside.
  10. Mark Aizlewood is another who was an alcoholic in his time at City and other clubs although it wasn't known at the time. Alcohol has been just one of many problems in his life but according to Wikipedia he could drink a bottle of brandy and 20 pints of lager in a session and stay standing! Genuinely shocking life story all in all. To be honest at the time I thought he was just a nutter. My Leeds supporting mate told me of the time he offered the whole stand out at Elland Road when he was a Leeds player and was getting some stick from the home supporters.
  11. He was actually an alcoholic during his playing days and was honest about it at the time. It's surprising how good a player he was all things considered, although obviously had his off-days.
  12. He was pretty much the same as Junior Bent and played around the same time I think? Plenty of effort, skill (and pace in Bent's case) but it all fell apart when either had a shot at goal. People behind the goal taking cover when either were lining up a shot!
  13. I would say 'misdemeanours' is a forum issue not a GDPR thing. GDPR doesn't care if the person is 'good' or 'bad' just whether the data held can be used to identify them and whether the person wants their information to be kept on file. A banned user trying to come back under a new user is not allowed under the OTIB forum rules and GDPR doesn't come into it. Equally details of misdemeanours is not a GDPR thing as it's not something that could be used to identify an individual. But as I said the whole thing is quite woolly (probably by design) and as a Data Controller it's best to err on the side of caution.
  14. I was a GDPR Data Steward as part of my job until recently and the whole thing is a bit woolly but as a 'Data Controller' which OTIB would be, it's best to err on the side of caution. So it would be advisable NOT to to disclose whether a new poster is actually an old poster returning under a different name, especially if the previous person has asked for their personal data to be removed. Basically the principle is that does the data held allow a person to be identified? So things like name, email address, dob, postal address would definitely come under GDPR. I think that an individual's posts would not come under GDPR unless they'd unwisely disclosed their own personal information in their posts. If someone has disclosed another person's personal information then that should be deleted immediately as per basic forum etiquette, never mind GDPR. That said, if someone's playing around and pretending they're someone that they're not or whatever, they wouldn't be looked on favourably by the FCA but as I said above, it's best to play on the safe side.
  15. Especially considering 4 (well 3 first half) of those came against Plymouth reserves largely thanks to a bizarre decision by their manager to rotate 7 of their squad. I think the powers that be were thinking on TC to get 20 goals this season for their claim of top 6 to be in any way realistic because the rest of the front line will struggle to get into double figures individually, in the league.
  16. Well 3 Championship clubs have made an unnecessary manager change this season and so far it's not working out too well for Birmingham or Huddersfield! Let's see how it's looking in a few months time...
  17. Only just read this in the Obits in Mojo magazine. Very sad and quite a shock as I had no idea he was ill. Saw him live with Blue Aeroplanes and Massive Attack many times and he performed at the 5th birthday party for the little record label me and my mates ran. He's all over 'Swagger' and 'Beatsongs' for the Blue Aeroplanes and 'Mezzanine' for Massive Attack, 3 genuinely brilliant albums.
  18. Keyboard player with Marillion.
  19. Bournemouth have proved that attendances are of little importance in the PL. It would be nice though at some point to integrate the Atyeo neatly into the rest of the ground. It just looks a bit 'untidy' but I've probably got OCD! Theoretically if SL did own all of the neighbouring houses could he leave them in situ and rebuild the stand? i.e. are the regulations absolute or does it only come into play if the houseowners object?
  20. That has sort of already been done. Ebbsfleet when they were owned by MyFC.com. The supporters so say were going to have some say in selection. Can't remember if it actually happened but the whole experiment didn't end well.
  21. If Carlsberg did Flounces This one is 3 years and about 50000 words long.
  22. Could the loss be because these are 2021-2022 accounts and so were partly affected by Covid?
  23. Hey presto! (courtesy of DaveFevs / Eiled Ajax) @ExiledAjax created this…he might have an update.
