Several years ago I had a ticket for WBA away but my transport let me down, so I appealed on here for a lift. Taffy messaged me straight away, a complete stranger, picked me up from my house, and I spent a very enjoyable day in his company, chatting all things City, and midwifery, much to my surprise. A lovely chap who I spoke to often after that. So sad to hear this news. RIP .

Playing devils advocate here, but if the offence at the throw in was a clear red card offence, ie a punch or shove to the face, would the ref have still waved play on, then red card him at the next stoppage, by which time the player could have had a hand in a goal for his own team. No, he would have stopped the game and issued the red, so why the difference in card colour. If Martinelli had known he was on a yellow, he wouldnt have committed the second foul.

Why is it that crap refs are always in the oppositions favour. When will we get an awful ref that gives everything to us ? Or would he not be a crap ref then ? On a side note, I think Keith Stroud is very much improved recently, and is one of the refs I enjoy watching, even if he is a bit OTT in his gestures.
