How about we scrap parachute payments full stop, and if lower end Prem teams who are in obvious peril of relegation from day one, decide to pay players a salary that they couldnt maintain in the Championship, struggle when they go down, tough. Thats how it used to work years ago . You get relegated, you sell your highest earners.

No but the poster meant in hindsight obviously. We could play a tie away at a non league club , for example, and lose because a goal of ours was ruled out for not being over the line when it clearly was, whereas if we had been away to a club in the Championship, goal line technology would have signalled a goal. If there were NO other contensious issues in the game, then we would be out because of it.

Ah ok. I just noticed there was one at the Memorial Stadium on the same day, and obviously the Gas are away. Didnt realise this is what its for. Plus , it doesnt open till 12.30 so anyone taking this route will have to miss a chunk of the first half.

I see on another site that there will be a mobile Covid Testing Station at AG on Saturday from 12.30 to 5pm. This seems strange as anybody not going to match who needs testing, wont be able to park at the stadium, or even close probably, and if it is aimed at attracting match goers themselves to get tested, well who would actually attend the game in the first place if they thought there was a chance they might have Covid. Just seems a strange arrangement to me.

I know this is a Towler thread, but its a tad unfair he is getting all the negative comments about not being ready, but is the same criticism being chucked at Benarous , because I absolutely dont see anything there to suggest he is even close to being ready.

On the flip side, I noticed that Millwall were the only away fans that boo'd our taking of the knee, while none of their players joined in with the gesture. No, problem at all with clubs not doing it anymore, but to boo ? Horrible club.
