Just accept that we won’t complete this season until either late summer or the autumn at earliest. And even then it may be played behind closed doors.

Whatever happens, I predict that there will be no League Cup or EFL trophy next season as the priority will be to get through the league fixtures. And even then the 20/21 season may only be half the length of a normal season, so that we only play each team once.

That is actually the most sensible option Ive heard. As long as all clubs know the rules before next season starts , they cant complain. Changing the rules for this season now, three quarters through holds all sorts of implications. But obviously the fans would need to be recompensed , as we've already forked out for a full sized ST for next year.

This is where self employed people (the dodgy ones , its cash in hand guvnor!) will have wished they had not taken those cash in hand jobs, off the books to save themselves some tax returns.

Now many are up in arms that they are not getting paid and or wont be getting paid much due to their tax returns.

My cousin is one of these tax Dodgers and he is screaming blue murder at the government, he hasn't mentioned the thousands upon thousands of pounds he hasn't paid in tax over the years, which he could of saved for such an event such as this (better still he would have paid the tax due) but instead spunked away on things he didn't need.

Yes you cannot tar all self employed people with the same brush, but their are a load out there that will have bought this misery on themselves and contributed in a small way to bringing this country to its knees buy reducing funding for key services.

And those who pay for jobs cash in hand should also take a look at themselves.. also contributing the reduction of funding to key services.  Of gunding of public services themselves has been mismanaged for years, but that is another debate.

Some self employed  people.... Sow what reap you..... rearrange.

I genuinely feel sorry for all those that have complied with tax laws and hope you get your money very soon.

This, this and this. A family member is SE and always had wads of notes in his wallet. He once told me the percentage of his earnings that goes through the taxman, and while I dont recall the exact number, it was shockingly low. He even said the accountants, well his anyway, know that its going on.

There death figures don’t include Post Mortem results.
If they say your in for a heart problem and die they don’t check for Covid 19.

Other countries do test, which is why figures around the world are so confusing/don’t make sense.

I wonder when or if,  they will start including deaths indirectly caused by the virus. People are still having heart attacks, strokes and serious car accidents etc, and if the resources arent available to save them, when they otherwise probably would be, thats a CV related death surely.

He’s doesn’t need to sell the island. He’s worth $4,000,000,000.

If he paid all 8,500 employees £10k each for the two month period, he’d have to struggle by on the remaining $3,915,000,000.

    He’s an utter disgrace.

My boss has a quote from Richard Branson hanging on the wall behind his desk. I cant recall the exact wording but its to the effect of "If the company looks after its employees, its employees will look after the company"

Sorry to say but you are wrong  it's  only the first two ko rounds (pus the group stages) which remain regionalised before an open draw from the quarter-finals onwards

Thanks for that, but its certainly news to  me.

Edit. Just looked at the format on Wiki and it doesnt make it clear, although it seems to imply that it is regionalized all the way through including a North South final.  Miah help please.

Don’t have to praise them, but some of the comments about their results, attendance etc are just embarrassing

I thought that when someone said they skanked a flukey 1-0 against a poor side, yet when we did it last week, it was hard fought and deserved. I too , probably hate them more than anyone on this forum , but come on, credit where its due. Now to make my doctors appointment.

  7. I notice on their website that Bury offer half price, £10 instead of £20 tickets to all matches, to all serving military personnel , and all past served military, as well as all serving police, ambulance and fire service personnel. While a very worthy gesture, that must have cost them a packet every season.

This is a throwback to the early days when men used to go to football on a Saturday afternoon and then the women would play up afterwards when they got home.

Saturday afternoon ? Blimey I remember those days.
