Get a grip lads, eh?

Can we play this lot every week please?

Goals win football matches. Well done lads, on a much needed win, but otherwise unremarkable performance.
All with just 27% of the possession.
Methinks young Manning may just have lost his ball.
Onward we march (into the top six). Obviously.

I applaud my fellow Reds who travel away on a regular basis, especially given recent form and the not inconsiderable cost in time, money and resilience.
However, I will say that it goes some way to explaining why this level of support and loyalty has allowed those in charge to continually fall short of the targets which they themselves have publicly set, regardless of what the expectations or aspirations of the fan base might be.

A crumb of comfort in general football terms, if true.
If only to bring some lightheartedness to my current malaise regarding issues closer to home and heart.

Here's my article (yet to be scrutinised by the Editor):
"Goals Win Football Matches, Points Mean Prizes".
TopSixtastic, I'm sure you'll agree!

not sure what game your watching, but Watford by far the better side.
It's the result that counts. Three points incoming my friend. Manning ball. It's all you need to know. Isn't it?.......

It's all coming together. Three points incoming. We got this.
-
This Manning ball stuff really is top six material.
Yep.
I'm sure of it.
No, honestly, it is.
It's all coming together.
If it's good enough to beat West Ham?
No, really.

Well done lads! A win to remember for sure. And on the telly too. Nice.

This is, as said previously, is good business.
I hope that this becomes the rule rather than the exception. With the way that football is run financially today, shrewd work in the transfer market (coupled with a successful academy) is probably the only way for clubs like ours to progress.
Credit to those involved in both deals today.

Go on any Rovers site and you'll find accusations of media bias towards City. Go on any Celtic or Rangers site and you'll find each accusing their local media of bias towards their rivals. I'd hazard a guess that this is repeated in any two team city.
I get what you're saying Miah, but in regard to the EP, I think my case remains solid.

I think you'll find that their full name is Promotion Chasing Bristol Rovers.

Yes. Not surprising that their attitude is often on the sunny/optimistic side, given the positive spin from the local media on almost any story involving them. Contrast with the more negative slant reflected in most of the City stories. I'm sure it's not me. Is it??

Knot sure when Twine will unravel but assuming (1) he signs on loan and (2) we have an option to buy and (3) at a sensible fee e.g. nowhere near £5m I will be pleased for BCFC to tie this up.
Let's not tie ourselves up in knots over this one...

Forgive my ignorance and reluctance to trawl a 25 page thread, but is the feeling that Twine is "the next one" that we moved onto after Azaz went to Boro?
I think that that's pretty much the way things work Ajax.

Still too early to make my mind up regarding young Manning.
Team performance and results have been a real mixed bag thus far.
As regards his manner in interviews, well he's fine, as far as I can tell. He seems measured and reflective in his responses, which, given some of the plain idiotic phrasing of journalists questions these days, is no bad thing.
We'll see....

Second half City were excellent. Great atmosphere in the away end, cracking finish from TC. Good day out for all, and a return fixture to boot.
Well done lads!

My first pair of boots were Adidas rip offs from English Leathers in Kingswood. They were black of course, and came boxed, with a stud spanner and one spare stud. The studs were white.

Will be a big miss and I don't like the sound of "a small tweak, just a few weeks..." - usually becomes much worse, very quickly !
Let's hope young Manning has it exactly right...

I reckon the FA have some sort of "cunning plan" to try and produce a young English manager to go on and lead the national team to world domination.
Hence the on going recycling of the seemingly hapless Messrs Lampard, Rooney - and of course Johnson - at club level.

Left back passes to centre half, centre half squares it across to the other centr half, that centre half passes it across to the right back. Right back has a quick look up, decides there is no ball on and then passes back to the centre half who inturn passes it on the the other centre half who then passes it back the the left back.
Occasionally we will get a moment of excitement when the ball will be played back to Max and we are left wondering if it will be played back the one of the defence OR punted up field.
Does that sum it up?
It's not that good!!
Happy clappers..........
