Well a thumping win against Sunderland on Saturday would do much to ease the torment.
How about it young Manning?
-
Good grief.

At this early stage in proceedings I'm not at all convinced by young Manning as a good fit to push on with this squad of players.
But he deserves time, transfer windows etcetera to show us what he can do.
I'm left feeling, as others have expressed, that we're in a "back to square one" situation, rather than a "next step in progress", towards that "top six" position.
-
Nope.
Fair play to Ipswich, they're tearing it up. But I'm not interested in what Ashton might be contributing towards their success, Ipswich aren't my club.
It's Ashton's time at City, and the well documented ramifications for my club that form my opinion of him. That won't change.

Two points dropped rather than one gained on the basis of that ninety odd minutes.
Can't say I'm happy. But heyho.

Underwhelming is an understatement.

I'd fully expect three points today, but reading this thread is not inspiring confidence thus far.......

Yes, it's interesting to hear people seemingly conclude that we have a new financial framework, along with our new Head Coach.

But but…..that’s what a certain Technical Director said was missing, Front Foot I recall mentioned.
He didn't mean long incisive balls and a more direct style of play though did he? That's what I'd like to see, if we want to push the excitement level up as the OP suggested we might?
-
I'd like to see City playing a more direct style of football, but that certainly isn't young Manning's style, so don't expect to see it.
-
We must give young Manning a chance - he didn't take over in some sort of coup.
He was appointed by people confident not only in his ability, but who also felt he could take a "top six ready" squad to its rightful place - perhaps more quickly than NP.
It's not looking great thus far, but if it doesn't turn out to plan, well, I know precisely who I'll be holding to account.
Let's hope we don't need to go there and the master plan is indeed fit for purpose.
History would indicate otherwise - that's my main concern.

Yep, Madge makes a top six cuppa, she'll be fine.

We are still in the hunt, sign some firepower in the window and roll the dice.
I disagree on the former, and would be surprised to see the latter.
Given of course, that we are assured by those that know, that the current squad is strong enough to be top six.
The dice have already been rolled. We called red, but it looks like black instead.

I'm very angry, thanks for asking .
Nothing to show from two games where I was expecting two points at the least, with four not unrealistic.
Top six fellas????.......
-
Well, that's a sickener.

Well, that was an interesting 45 mins.

Disappointed with that tonight, especially the second half.
Top 6 Mr Lansdown??..........

Rest in peace El Tel. Euro 96 holds lots of good memories.

Scott Murray. Iron Man. He's bloody Marvel-ous!
-
Well, I saw absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Am I supposed to have picked up on something in particular to be critical about?
Did somebody fart???
-
Well, I'm happy enough after that. Let's give young Manning a chance, eh?
