  1. I was of the belief that promotion to the top flight was the consensus, from the outset of SL's ownership??

Granted, a lot has changed in football and the wider world since then, and it would be challenging for us to be a lasting presence in the top flight, as things stand.

That said, it remains my sole wish to see us get there.

Watching the parade go by is becoming more and more of a frustration.  I'm bored of hearing from Bristolians sporting the usual Premier League shirts that "City and Rovers are both crap, they'll never get into the Premier League, why waste your money, blah, blah...." - you know the thing.

" A year in the Premier League or a major domestic trophy? " usually results in a good discussion too, I've found.

Well, Prof Alice did go to the school next door to mine…and did once ‘like’ a Twitter comment of mine referencing ‘The Gate’ with her shown photographed on the Suspension Bridge looking in our direction, so she could well be a closet ‘red’. Further justification for adopting this song then!

Having just re-read the above, it does make me sound a bit like a sad, desperate individual, borderline stalker, so just keep that ‘Dr Alice’ information between you and me if you could please.

    Will do Red..

She's one of us, you know?

Do you remember the little wooden bannister / barrier around the dance floor.  I tried to hurdle it pissed once…and failed.  Ok, slight lie, it wasn’t once, I had 3 goes before I was asked politely not to try again!

So that's where Neymar jnr got it from then Dave ?

Isn't this a reference as to how they power the lights at the Mem??I

Oh, and by the way, I thought the OP was referring to Prof Alice Roberts, and got quite flustered for a moment.

Are you suggesting the 10,000 unfortunates locked outside, Wael's billionaire status and the state-of-the-art stadium at the Fruit Market, are all simply wild, unbelievable fantasies?

If so, no doubt some deluded Fewer will assure you they are all as real as Irene's chastity.

Yes I am Joe. Yes I am.?

  6. Well, this has rattled some cages!!

All I would say is that the most important (by far) element of the football club to me - is - the football team. That's who I cheer for, cry for and support through thick and thin.

With that and only that in mind, the team look no closer to reaching the top flight than when SL took over.

Many players, a fair number of managers and many years on from the (single),  very clearly stated personal mission, to get Bristol City into the top flight of English football.I

I can sympathise with anyone who feels a bit let down.
