If you look at the accounts that are due along with previous - I'll think you'll find that "WE" have a small part to p(l)ay

I go to matches and know what I’m watching and what squad we are working with. I assume you were there today given all the stuff you are coming out with. Did we or did we not create enough chances to win the game today?

No we did not create enough chances to winbthe game. You have to defend to win games and no matter how many we create the opposition will normally get more!

I’ll start, since Semenyo has come back from injury we are a goal threat. We created enough to win that game today. We are also seeing more of the ball. Defensively we were poor and I think Nige went hung ho with the wing backs. He needs to find a way to tighten up defensively and create the same chances. Stick the best player at the club in midfield today and we win that game.

You are very easily pleased or believe the hype! The last 8 games have seen us score 7 goals and get 4 or 5  points, that's from a possible 24! Goal threat don't make me laugh. Defensively we have been poor for a year or more and show no signs of improvement. The manager has yet to prove he knows what he is doing especially with the set up and subs today!

Ask yourself the following, are you seeing any progression both tactically and with the style of football you are watching since Pearson took over as everything can't be blamed on the players you currently have in your squad aren't good enough as a younger manager with fresh ideas may get more out of the current bunch.

There has been zero progress since the dinosaur took over, some would even argue we are now worse

I've often thought this, not just the language but an entirely new culture, climate, relocating family, everything. I have the utmost respect for these people. It must be hard (and don't pretend the money makes it "easy")

I've lived and worked abroad in a   country where I didn't know the language. Believe me money and having people help you out helps immensely, bloody he'll footballers moving here have everything done for them so it should be a piece of piss!

Might also ask @frenchred to follow up.

SL sells tomorrow, new owner comes in...foreign.

What would you expect them to do?

What do you think that they could do within the regs.

Cannot stress enough, new owners do not or cannot reset the regs for a club. Although unlimited expenditure on academy eg is permitted, as it is with infrastructure...one other benefit could be if SL hasn't been putting in the full equity amount to fill the gap between upper and lower losses- although I think he has.

The loss and the position stays with the Club- not the Owner. New foreign owner couldn't give us a quick fix unless they gambled in Jan 2022 to spend all of our remaining headroom on strengthening the squad, we surged up, snuck into the PL via the playoffs...other than that...?

That aside there would be no quick fix and such an approach could land us with notable problems if promotion was not achieved this and only this season.

New owners don't mean instant success, I never ever said this, what new owners can do is eradicate the mistakes continually made over lansdowns tenure, they don't need to throw bad money after bad as done during lansdown tenure and they can start by putting football people in the important positions again not done under lansdowns tenure and have a fully functioning, accountable board of directors, again no done during lansdowns tenure.

Not asking for or expecting instant results just signs of a functioning  club showing progress

Yep. Imagine what this forum would be like if we ACTUALLY had a bad owner. Like one of the foreign ones who would rock up if SL really decided to sell.

Imagine what ut would be like if a good foreign owner rocked up who new what he was doing!

Lest not forget whilst traditionalists laughed at the idea Brentford were one of the first clubs to sign up to the use of 'data' in driving their recruitment process. At the time I believe only Liverpool, Leicester & Man City were signed up to the concept.

What does a statistician know about football that an ex pro doesn't? Quite a lot results appear to suggest.

They also took the brave step of abandoning their academy and not just following everyone else. Must save them a fortune
