  1. Richard Gould is still here isn't he doing the handover? Maybe once he's officially in the seat, and has had a few weeks to settle in we might get one. Then again, not everyone is like Mark Ashton (thankfully), he may prefer to stay away from the media side of things.
  2. Be interesting to see what Man Uniteds next stance is going to be. Ten Haag seems to be doing something that is going right at the moment, especially after the Ronaldo issues. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the club lawyers are all over this already, trying to find a way out of the contract. Bringing the club into disrepute could be one option, it may end up being that the contract is just paid up in full and he's told to do one. With the Americans trying to sell the club, I doubt they'll want anything like this hanging around for too long. My personal opinion, he's done in this country regardless of a legal statement. Whoever he plays for (if he does) will be just getting dogs abuse thrown at them for 90 minutes.

Always had the impression that he was this sort of player/person. Bags of experience but not one of these "Billy big balls" type characters that you hear about (and let's be fair we've had a few over the years!!) Not basing this on anything, or anyone I know, just always came across as that type of character to me. Undoubtedly his experience and guidance would have been invaluable to the young players (in all positions), and there's no coincidence that Vyner looks a different player this year compared to in previous ones. Based on last season he deserved an extension. Based on his appearances this season, it was clear that he had come towards the end. With a young family at home, and at a point in his career where it was probably not in his best interests to sit the contract out, the right decision for everyone was reached. I would be extremely surprised if he didn't go into coaching at some point, but will probably spend a bit of time at home with the family. Came to us at a point where we were struggling, and from the sounds of it never caused an issue when he wasn't in the team. All the best big man.
  4. Tinnion wasn't involved in the club when Morris was here. Nothing more than a local club at a decent level, where we can easily keep an eye on him regularly.
  5. Kids look embarrassed. "Dad we don't care that you're covering the walls with wrapping paper, just take that stupid thing off your head, all the kids at school will laugh at us tomorrow!"
  6. They'll be up all night, eating that late......
  7. Drove through it once, best part was getting out.
  8. Thought he retired when he was "managing" us....
  9. Hopefully these signings are not better best forgotten...... I'm done for Steps songs, that's about all I've got. Such a tragedy ?
  10. ? I was just about to post something similar actually!!
  11. 100% wages paid then a great deal. To be honest anything over 50% wouldn't be bad given that he's never going to play for us again.
  12. Yep, it was pretty pathetic thinking back! Wasn't it more of a case that the BBC thought it would "look good for the cameras?"
  13. Yep, the game we also let them bring their bubble machine ?
  14. I commented with something similar on facebook last week, funnily enough it was deleted ?
  15. Well think they might start looking at clocks earlier, as in 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock erc, but 10 past, quarter past etc starts 1/2.
  16. Wife's a teacher, trust me, they start learning (well should) how to tell the time in year 1/2.
  17. Looks like she stood in some shit on the way to the church.
  18. Wow some of them need to remember where they were a few years ago. A season or two in the Championship, and a very good run a few years ago, they seem to think they're on par with Liverpool!!! We have underachieved for years, but at least we know it!!
  19. I painted my fence, and shelved out under the stairs during the first lockdown. Son was born in December, so just about between lockdowns, and we found out the day it was all getting serious on the radio about shops/businesses were talking about closing. Only scan I was allowed to go to, was the one we had done the day before fathers day, and that was because we paid for it through a private company. Wife had to do it all alone when it came to appointments and stuff. Agree with everything said above, it's basically a large chunk of everybodies lives, that all merge and blur into one (unless specific events happened on a personal basis). In that respect I think we've as a society, just wrote the time off and basically lost it.
