  1. Well the first tweet, although I don't think we will part ways (barring a complete clusterfu....) is possible. The idiot then goes and reverts to type with the second ?
  2. Shame Boreham Wood have been drawn at the Minimal Ground, don't live too far from Boreham, would happily have gone down and cheered them on!!
  3. Purchased something on amazon earlier and was offered a(nother) prime trial. After taking that on, the poppy badge appeared as a suggestion. Cost was £3.99 and ended up with free postage. Downside was it said delivery by 11th November, so could be anytime between now and the actual day!
  4. Good. Won't be easy to police/enforce mind you, but it is becoming more common to hear about it.
  5. Good idea to be fair. Then you can just let your other seats go to friends and family for cheaper than a match day ticket, and cover the cost of some of the new ticket(s) yourself.
  6. Agreed, just needs that first goal (or two) to spark him. Let's also not forget that he hasn't long come back from injury, so essentially he's still probably not quite as sharp as he was/can be.
  7. Agreed, however Massengo is very inconsistent, so this is also not going to help him be selected. Previously a few of the squad were inconsistent, so you could kind of argue that he should at least get a chance to play. Currently however, we're looking more like a unit (with the odd exception/disastrous performance), so with him not signing the contract, he's going to have to accept a reserve role, and/or wait for a chance due to injury or suspension. If he was world class but not signing a contract, then fair enough. He's not, and is currently on his way out. He has to play himself in.
  8. Yup. Formerly Bristol Boy/Topman on here, along with a few other names that he probably used over the years to make it look like people agreed with him a lot, when in fact it was just him using different accounts.
  9. Interesting appointment, probably has the best record in recent years of Man Utd managers...... In all seriousness, Mourinho kept him on as a coach, then OGS, and has been around some of the best players in recent years - doesn't necessarily mean anything though tbf - just see Lampard and Gerrard etc. A few years ago if you'd have said which one of Carrick and Rooney would you expect to be a manager sooner and be more successful, Carrick would have been my answer. Very interesting appointment indeed.
  10. Well this was an interesting thread
  11. I see Scott Sinclair and Helen Flanagan have split up. She obviously doesn't fancy standing in a tent in the middle of a tip in winter. Fair enough I guess.....
  12. Thanks for that, have checked both mine and the wife's cars, and thankfully when we visit mum and dad, we're fine in both cars. However my old car, which I was advised to buy by the government (£20 road tax pa) was a 64 plate diesel focus. That would cost me £9 a time. That was a 1.6, my current car being a 2.0 diesel Kuga is absolutely fine.
  13. Think that tells you everything you need to know about StGeorgegas tbf....

    Ronaldo

No single player is bigger than the club they play for. No matter how big the ego is. Agree with the comment made previously about the disciplinary - it will show the rest that they can't actually just do what they want. The fine will be irrelevant, he doesn't need the money, but it will show who is in charge, and I think that that has been a problem in the last few years there, especially with the likes of Pogba around.
  15. There was something about different sized goals at different ends of a pitch the other week wasn't there? Surely things like this get checked? I'm all for small margins and all that crap, but that's ridiculous.
  16. Can you keep us updated if/when you get a response @RedEd73? Pretty sure that something like this will be dealt with fairly quickly. I get that people get annoyed when we play badly/lose/drop points, but to stand there in front of two children and have a go like that is totally uncalled for and just cowardly. I hope that the bloke woke up this morning, realised what he had done, and is absolutely disgusted with himself. I'd also suggest that if he's not banned, then anybody who recognises him next time points him out to the stewards and let's them know what happened yesterday. Glad to hear the kids are fine, but that could quite easily have gone in a completely different direction with 2 different kids. That could have scarred, and scared them to the point where they not only never want to go to the football again, but could also end up playing on their minds. @JerrySLO, any chance of the club sorting some hospitality tickets/merchandise/something for the family? Hopefully the kids wont think that this is something that happens all the time and is "normal".
  17. I'm more concerned that nobody has really mentioned the dropping of Nicky Wells last night....
  18. Brilliant film. You've probably seen it anyway, but Senna was also just amazing to watch. Quite emotional when the inevitable is shown as well actually.

There are a lot of bugs doing the rounds at the moment up in my neck of the woods, along with covid getting a mention more often than a few months ago. That being said, it's a midweek game so anyone coming from far afield will probably have to take time off work, and with traffic around Bristol at the moment that could also put people off going - sit in traffic for an hour and miss part of the game, or go home and watch all of it. £25+ at this time of year though, especially in the current climate, isn't cheap. Last couple of midweek games that I've seen on the red button, there has been a lot of spare seats though.
