  1. Still to this day think we should have signed him permanently, even if it was on a year +1 contract. No idea if correct, or even of a suggestion if not, but I did think Murray when he had that blinding season before the move to Reading.
  2. I/we probably sent a load of green and yellow vans your way in the early 00's (if you were there at that time).....
  3. Don't know about that, but I think most of them are sniffing glue if they still believe there is a chance of getting a new ground...
  4. Beat me to it by seconds. Absolute shocking end to a great season. Makes good television though!
  5. Yep, wouldn't have got that interview a few years ago. Was actually expecting his helmet to go flying when he got out of the car. You can understand the ruling in some respects - the comment from Massey about racing is fair enough, but it does stink. No accident results in Max having to get through the pack and race Lewis. That ruling just gives Max the chance to run at Lewis on fresher tyres, with nobody between them and give no chance of Lewis getting the chance to "race back". Horner would be steaming if firstly Red Bull were in Mercedes position now, and secondly if they would have said we'll extend the race by 2 laps to give you both the chance to race properly.
  6. Absolute ridiculous. What was the ruling to send the cars between Hamilton and Verstappen to overtake the safety car and then pull it in straight away about!? That was literally all about creating drama for the last lap.

    KP 45

True, but you know what Ashton was like, anything for a deal. As you say Dasilva was stupidly cheap but Palmer in comparison was a terrible deal.

    KP 45

Complete ego signing (Ashton and Johnson combined). The talent is there, but for some reason it just doesn't seem to click. Between MA and LJ they thought they may be able to get him firing on all cylinders (despite an ok loan period, not groundbreaking though), and be able to turn a big profit from him. As it is, I think we'll do well to get his wages off the book, as we'll never make the money back. I do wonder if it was a case of you can have Kalas, Dasilva and Palmer for £x, because to me, KP has always looked an OK player at best.
  9. I did originally throw a similar example in, but then though sod it, Fevs will come along and fill in the details in a much better/realistic way than I ever could! You don't disappoint ?
  10. He's like the uncle you only see at Christmas but never leave on his own around anything valuable
  11. Regular football, settled, and not being sent out on loan every few months here there and everywhere. At the end of the day he's a footballer, and if we won't agree terms, then someone else will. That being said, I get the genuine feeling from his comments. I think his next contract offer will probably be less money pw/pm, but maybe split over an extra year.
  12. The Red Bull driver was given three different penalties at last weekend's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix for offences he was deemed to have committed while racing against Hamilton's Mercedes. One was for overtaking while off the track, one was for forcing Hamilton off the circuit and one was for braking in front of him and causing a collision. Yet Max can't see what the problem is!?

    Club shop

Add to basket, checkout, and then the discount is added then. It will add on £5 delivery charge though, so 20% saving on a £35 mini kit for the boy, results in a whopping £2 saving. Just messaged my mum and asked of they can pop in tomorrow to grab one as they're around the corner, and I'll grab it when we go down next week for Christmas!
  14. John Terry, unlikely but never know as a first step into management. Frank Lampard? Which clown put money on that!? Neil Lennon - probably the next Celtic manager (again). Jeez.
  15. Agreed. Total dick of a player but actually talks sense, a bit like Simon Jordan - a dick when involved at Palace but does speak sense if you listen to him.
  16. My grandad used that exact phrase speaking to my wife (from Colchester) when she first met him - couldn't understand most of what he said! Thanks @Bobby Bollax that raised a smile with something to remember the old guy by on a chappy day ?
  17. Lucky Sag players! Bit early for the Christmas holidays off though isn't it?
  18. Put a disclaimer up before rhe programme starts, half time and at full time. There we go job done. I work in a Primary school, and to be honest some of the language used there is more offensive than that on the TV!!
  19. Wasn't that the assistant manager though? Guess he wasn't deemed credible enough Good point. A prison stretch would be a doddle in comparison
  20. Lack of actual evidence or independent witnesses are probably the only reason he was found not guilty. Very lucky man. Wonder what the next court visit will serve up....
  21. You'd hope the stewards/officials will be watching very closely anytime they are close. Any contact that causes one or the other to lose points/places could become irrelevant if the other is docked points for causing the issue. Max is a dick though so nothing would surprise me...
  22. Joe Burnell scoring!? That's a scrap book moment if ever there was one in it's own right
  23. Should never have been changed. Think (happy to be corrected) that the u21s were introduced in the "hope" that attendances would pick up if someone like Crewe for example, drew Liverpool. It has had the opposite effect though, and fans are turning away, at least until the latter stages. So in that respect, nothing has changed. What it does show is that the youngsters at the bigger clubs, aren't actually that much better than your L1/2 players. The comment about testing the waters about introducing B teams into the leagues is probably pretty accurate tbf. Prem clubs just see it as another cash cow, but supporters at our level and below, see it as their bloated squads of players who aren't good enough for the top level, shouldn't be at those clubs in the first place. Younger players are starting to see the sense of going towards a lower placed club in the pyramid, and realising they can make a decent/better name for themselves as a first team player lower down, than a fringe player playing in the EFL/u21 tournament. Exceptions like Foden etc will obviously always come along though. Sickens me to say it, but I'd rather Rovers won the trophy than an u21 team ever winning it.
