  1. With the questions about Williams and Wilson you wonder if some people pay any attention at all to what goes on, or whether they just look at results and base their opinions accordingly.
  2. Good thread from Swiss Ramble about United's issues:
  3. When we played them at their place last year the camera and mics for the iFollow/TV coverage were directly above the dugouts and you could pick up pretty much every word he said. Lost count of the number of times the commentator had to apologise for any offence caused.
  4. Can only assume nobody actually read the article. That's not to say that nothing will come of it, but there's a lot of conjecture in there without any concrete details.
  5. If you want an indicator of the issues there, consider the fact that the back 5 (including keeper) that have started the first 2 games were signed by 5 different managers - De Gea by Ferguson, Dalot by Mourinho, Maguire by Solskjaer, Martinez by Ten Hag and Shaw by Van Gaal.
  6. Gould was an outspoken critic of the ECB whilst at Surrey, especially over the Hundred. Given that they seem to see it as the way forward, I can't see him being appointed.
  7. Responding to a thread with "who cares?" Well evidently you do since you took the time to open the post, read and reply.
  8. Of course it wasn't. The penalty we should have had at Hull the other week when Atkinson was rugby tackled from a corner wasn't either.
  9. Yep, and if they tried it now the FA have rules which wouldn't allow it to happen, which should tell you everything you need to know about the ethics of it.
  10. His point is that the owners haven't put a penny of their own money in and in addition are creaming off the profits.
  11. As I said on the match thread, the Wigan player could have run up and punched Williams unprovoked and got a yellow, and you'd still get contrarians defending it and saying it shouldn't affect anything.
  12. He is. Being admirably restrained, far more than I would watching us do something similar.
  13. Somewhat ironic that the worst performance so far brings our first point. I will give the players some leeway because it was bloody hot, but the inability to keep the ball is what leads to us running out of steam and inevitably trying to hang on. Having just seen the would-be red card again I can't for the life of me see how he's not sent him off. Though he could have run up and punched him without provocation and you'd still get contrarians on here saying a yellow was correct. The penalty shout falls into "seen them given" (not for us, obviously) but I can understand with it wasn't.
  14. I've started doing that again with Serie A now that it's back on BT. They usually have the biggest game of the week in the Sunday evening slot too.
  15. Chris Martin. Plays up front, scored last week, scored a few last season. Surely you've heard of him?
  16. Yep, it felt like they took the player trading to new levels and lost sight of the need to have a cohesive, balanced squad of players. No coincidence that LJ didn't end up seeing out that season.
  17. The rest of the games are available on Premier Sports.
  18. It's 10 games per season, starting next weekend with Sociedad v Barcelona. All the games they show will feature Barca or Madrid although I don't know whether they'll have the Clasicos. Must admit I've barely watched any of it since Sky lost the rights a few years ago. On the other hand, I've got right back into Serie A since BT started showing it last season.
  19. Interesting. First time I've heard that although not at all surprising.
  20. Yep, plus the novelty of being allowed back into grounds after Covid wearing off.
