  1. 24 & 2. Bajic with 23 was the other notable one, others all as last season.
  2. First game it was just Sam Pearson. Second game Knight-Lebel, Idehen, Taylor-Clarke & Seb P-H. You can only have a maximum of 2 players on loan from one club but if Swindon are interested you’d think any 2 of those 5 could start this season with them.
  3. I know it has become an urban myth but Marinovic didn’t actually play that badly. He was far too slow to clear the ball in the first minute & Lloyd Kelly bailed him out big time & his kicking was poor in an absolute gale but he made one smart save & had no chance with their goal. This nonsense has become so exaggerated in time that in a few years people will be posting on here he was responsible for all 5 of their goals in a 1-1 draw.
  4. Weird, isn’t it? Swindon’s goal was clearly a poor mistake by Knight but still all 3 so far are apparently down to Vyner. It’s like last season never happened.
  5. Think Nige does & that matters far more. If Scott does go I see it exactly the same way as @Davefevs I would prioritise another central midfielder because James is good for about 35 games a season but Williams isn’t reliable enough to play 40 & I would also bring in an experienced goalkeeper as competition/cover for Max. Dependant on how long it will be until Rob Atkinson is going to back & assuming that Naismith is going to be fit by Preston I think we’ll go with the central defenders we have & absolutely no chance we are after a new striker.
  6. Superb win, absolutely bossed the entire competition. Don’t think another county comes close in terms of the amount of players they produce, the opposition in the first game even had one. Somerset truly is the home of cricket.
  7. They are a significantly bigger club, with far better support & ground & Lopetegui is a top ranked coach who has been in charge of Spain, Real Madrid, Seville & Porto & obviously really wants him. Just my view, maybe Bournemouth’s location is an advantage but otherwise they’re basically Luton with more money.
  8. If this is true, it appears the only way they’ll sign him now. I don’t think the vast majority of clubs being mentioned on here are interested, but even if it’s just the two it improves our hand.
  9. If this is true & Percy is very good, it certainly puts Bournemouth in a different position. Pretty sure Scott would pick Wolves over them if they both offer the same fee, puts them under pressure to either increase the offer or look elsewhere.
  10. Simple or idiotic. You wanted to go to Wolves in January Alex, but we said stay until the summer & if we get a decent offer you can leave then. We won’t sell you now either, so you carry on earning a tenth of what you’d get if you move & we’ve got Rotherham & Hull up soon.. Definitely going to be really motivated..
  11. Very sad, certainly a poster I recall. RIP.
  12. FFS, does anyone bar a few on here seriously think this is they important in the scheme of things? We haven’t played any friendlies before today, are going to look at 22 players over 90 minutes & it is about easing ourselves back in, not the result. It’s almost as if some of the relentlessly negative posters are desperate for something to complain about.. I don’t think pre season scores have the slightest impact on how the season goes.
  13. Unlikely. Seems to me that although this now appears probable this isn’t a scenario you anticipate, that 3 high value assets all join the same club. Bournemouth have really gone for it since January, I think their planning looks pretty good, sad to say in one respect… I’m not sure either of our first 2 sales to them will ever move on at a profit, mind you, I’ve been in the minority saying that about Webster & Brownhill for ages.
  14. My thoughts too, be a good indication as to how near this now is.
  15. Not seen it officially reported anywhere but he featured for Wycombe yesterday in a behind closed doors match v Arsenal U21s. Was told last week he was joining them permanently, but this suggests maybe a trial first. Obvious by the fact he didn’t get taken to Austria that he could move on this summer.
  16. Yep, plus West Ham have changed focus since the new Director of Football was appointed. I would be very surprised if he’s not a Bournemouth player by the time we face Preston.
  17. Seeing as their fans are a right load of salty ******* on social media, still banging on about us signing Naismith, I wonder if anyone has suggested to them switching it to a Premiership standard ground, in say, BS3? Agree with the sentiment, hope they finish bottom with a record low points total.
  18. No doubt, but not every pro reaching the autumn of their career acts like he does towards first year pros, bet plenty give it the “don’t you know who I am” stuff.
  19. Really good news. Bloke is a credit to himself & to the game, he’s won absolutely everything yet is a very humble, dedicated pro, the likes of Conway, Scott & Bell clearly love him. Acknowledges that his availability in his first season meant he felt he’d let himself down so worked hard to make sure it improved, last season he had 100% availability, which is excellent for a 34 year old. Pearson said when he took over he wanted to bring in the right people, no surprise he went back to Andy King & Matty James.
  20. Going to be mental on here when Scott misses out with a “slight knock”, isn’t it?
  21. I suppose it was. Well, if you completely disregard all of Korey Smith, Luke Ayling, Luke Freeman, Aaron Wilbraham, Wade Elliott, Kieron Agard & also that he had twice dropped Aden Flint & Frankie Fielding completely, given Joe Bryan only 9 starts whereas Cotts gave him 39 the following season, so as you say, pretty much the basis of that success.
  22. You’re certainly not alone in thinking that. Would be nice if West Ham were interested with Rice about to depart but the new Director of Football appears to have other thoughts, sadly.
  23. Definitely back, saw him twice in the Jason Knight video, looked to have had a rather severe military haircut..
