  1. Don’t think he exactly inherited a great position but a terrible last week or so. Particularly in light of results elsewhere they’ve effectively down.
  2. What is the point of them? Absolute nothing club.
  3. Absolutely destined for the Prem. Denied us at least one obvious penalty, allowed Chowdury to commit three yellow card offences & still didn’t book him & couldn’t get the card out quickly enough for Wells. Vardy’s late one on Max was a booking every day of the week too. Rubbish.

Let’s wait & see on that. Today’s result significantly increases the likelihood of Manning being in charge next season & it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he made signing him his number one priority.
  5. Mine too, outstanding. Didn’t shirk the physical side, quick & good on the ball. Pring was also excellent as were Dickie & James (as usual).
  6. Which is why realistically today is a free hit. Monday isn’t though. Interesting team, no idea of the story behind TGH not being involved at all, but by far the strongest squad we have had to select from in ages.
  7. Who as we both know, Noggers “went missing” on a regular basis when faced with Gerald..
  8. Heard Matty James say it lots, actually did so in the video when he signed for us. Ubiquitous.
  9. Tin hat on, I didn’t think it was too bad.. A word of advice for Liam Manning though, previous events strongly suggest that even if “Brian” is saying it was “only 6 games ago that we beat Southampton” you’re a total mug if you don’t realise that in the future he’ll knife you in the back to either save his own skin or climb the ladder..
  10. Yep, free country.
  11. So you’re telling me that 2 players we signed for a combined fee of £1.5m aren’t nearly as good as two that we sold for £35m? This is the sort of insight I look for on OTIB. Thanks.
  12. Don’t really follow the Prem. Actually thought he was one of the judges on Strictly.
  13. I was sort of hoping to avoid making this about politics once I’d made the initial point, but hey ho.
  14. Anyone think the club might have engaged Lynton Crosby? Famed right wing Aussie strategist who advised Boris Johnson amongst others on a “dead cat” strategy. This is where you announce something so totally random that no one then talks about the important thing, in Boris Johnson’s case his laziness causing thousands to die from Covid because he didn’t bother to read stuff properly. To bring this back to City, we currently have an 11 page thread on a T shirt with one of our defenders middle names on it, whilst the football is so dull it makes your eyeballs bleed, we have lost 5 of the last 6 games & appear to be coached by an AI programmed robot. Clever move, eh?
  15. Remember us beating Sheff U 2-0 at AG very early in the playoff season, we were brilliant (definitely front foot, attacking football..) McIndoe & Sproule took them apart. Absolute nonsense to say it wasn’t exciting, we completed for everything & never gave up. Another early game at AG saw us absolutely outclassed by an excellent WBA side but we stuck in it (Marvin Elliott was superb) & Bradley Orr scored a hugely unexpected 89th minute equaliser. Great times.
  16. Seeing as there is no possibility of any interest in the seat I am currently in (Dolman centre) this suggests to me if I held off until May 3rd it still wouldn’t inconvenience me. They can wait for my cash.
  17. Couple of points, you’re a stylish bloke… Secondly I read the second one as “Lavin” & immediately thought if Zak Vyner’s middle name on a T shirt is niche, what does it make that!
  18. Just a quick update on that 4-0 hammering when McInnes was sacked immediately after the game, it was Liam Kelly’s debut, one of many players that McInnes (sadly) brought down from Scotland. Although his career went on some odd tangents to Oldham then Orient after Cotts used him as a makeweight in the Korey Smith deal, he’s had a very good career. Remember at the time thinking what must he have made of the day..
  19. Spot on. Without wishing to derail the thread, think the Mebude stuff is the club doubling down on a baffling January signing. Footage of pretty much anything good he does in training is always included. Strange that when it gets to match day he never actually gets on the pitch..
  20. Even more appropriate “you aren’t serious people”..
  21. Reminds me of Connor Roy’s run for president..
  22. He never scored against Blackburn, reckon you’re thinking of the game I quoted.
  23. I like Zak but he’s a footballer who plays for a mid table Championship club. Who on earth thinks anyone will buy this?
  24. Early in the season he got a double against Scunthorpe (one was a brilliant lob) & that was our first league win. Definitely kickstarted a great start, we only lost once until November.
