To bring this back to City, we currently have an 11 page thread on a T shirt with one of our defenders middle names on it, whilst the football is so dull it makes your eyeballs bleed, we have lost 5 of the last 6 games & appear to be coached by an AI programmed robot. Remember us beating Sheff U 2-0 at AG very early in the playoff season, we were brilliant (definitely front foot, attacking football..) McIndoe & Sproule took them apart. Absolute nonsense to say it wasn’t exciting, we completed for everything & never gave up. Another early game at AG saw us absolutely outclassed by an excellent WBA side but we stuck in it (Marvin Elliott was superb) & Bradley Orr scored a hugely unexpected 89th minute equaliser. Great times.

Seeing as there is no possibility of any interest in the seat I am currently in (Dolman centre) this suggests to me if I held off until May 3rd it still wouldn’t inconvenience me. They can wait for my cash.

Just a quick update on that 4-0 hammering when McInnes was sacked immediately after the game, it was Liam Kelly’s debut, one of many players that McInnes (sadly) brought down from Scotland. Although his career went on some odd tangents to Oldham then Orient after Cotts used him as a makeweight in the Korey Smith deal, he’s had a very good career. Remember at the time thinking what must he have made of the day..

Spot on. Without wishing to derail the thread, think the Mebude stuff is the club doubling down on a baffling January signing. Footage of pretty much anything good he does in training is always included. Strange that when it gets to match day he never actually gets on the pitch..

I like Zak but he’s a footballer who plays for a mid table Championship club. Who on earth thinks anyone will buy this?

Early in the season he got a double against Scunthorpe (one was a brilliant lob) & that was our first league win. Definitely kickstarted a great start, we only lost once until November.

My recollection is having managed to get promotion with a strike force of free transfers (Jevons & Showunmi) we were shocked at the wage demand disparity with L1. We went for 2 strikers (it might well have been Leon Best & Luke Varney, but not 100%, it was a long time ago now) & other clubs blew us out of the water & so very late in the summer we signed Trundle who was already 30 (31 that October) & had never played at that level. He wasn’t quite good enough in truth & clearly his attitude wasn’t the best, but rather than a vanity signing I think we simply underestimated the gap. Sensational season though, his contribution to it was minor but I’ll never forget the Palace goal.

Yep & as someone who certainly was no big fan of his, the message was varied. I know he verged on David Brent at times, but at least he said it differently & with attempts at humour. This is basically AI, chat GPT stuff. The inability for everyone involved at the club to see this really isn’t helping the situation & so either vary the person saying it or have the self awareness to understand saying exactly the same thing in exactly the same way every time isn’t working.

If only you’d told us this before.. Three of the 5 best placed finishes since 1980 were all under him. So in his 5 years he achieved this & promotion after inheriting the shambles Tinnion left him. Let’s find another “one trick pony” soon because no one else has achieved what he did since the great Alan Dicks.

Agree, brilliant idea but a ridiculously short amount of time to submit details. If this does become an annual thing (& it should) hopefully this can be ironed out.

This. Results are completely secondary & loads of this side already know they’re being released anyway. If he gets half a game or an hour but comes off because it was pre-arranged that’s all that counts.
