  1. I see the Gas have been awarded an early one goal advantage in the FA Cup match vs Coventry... YET NOTHER PENALTY after 6mins..

Is it witchcraft or what?  Sacrificial offerings to the Penalty Kick Gods perhaps ?  Whatever it is someone or something is really looking after Rovers with penalties in recent months.. ?

I get your point but the whole thing about the away attendances is their complete delusion that they constantly take thousands away . Many more thousands than us.
We all know we’re not that well supported north of Birmingham and accept it . Whilst they continue to peddle the myth , we’ll keep highlighting their lies.

I'm not really interested in their collective mental health re delusion etc... and I'm even less interested in their inability to count properly, I'm sure that has something to do with the varying amount of digits they have between them on each hand....

I dont think any of this should be of concern to us ….

These are Ecumenical Matters, leave them to the Bashing Bishops and actresses. ?

    F e c k!!! … D r i n k!!!..

  3. Am I the only one bored shitless by this constant, played to death already piss-taking and sniping about travelling numbers?  Its pointless, boring, playground like, and means **** all, WTF is there to boast about having better travelling numbers than, lets face it, pretty much irrelevant neighbours.?  It getting almost embarrassing on our part now, childlike 'banter'.

Lets stick to the genuinely amusing banter created by their own habit of providing us with regular gifts that keep on giving... It wont be long before they give us something out of the blue that is really worth commenting on.

Do we really give a shit how many of 'em pile into their minibuses for trips up and down the frigging motorways?, we've laughed at ridiculous claims from some of them around being superfans …. To be honest I really couldn't give a shit if they actually did have numbers rivalling ours.. It is a shit topic.

Keep an eye out for their next 'gift' though, something worth responding to will be along soon, sure as day follows night.

    COYR's

(PS, I know loads of what I post must bug many of you big time, but if I'm allowed one more moan for now, can I say how much the overuse of the word 'DELUDED' really, really, bugs the shite out of me, f'ing deluded this, deluded that … argggh! )

  4. To be fair, this Garner bloke, from bits and bobs I've read of him, sounds like he may well be a decent appointment for the Gas...

Could be the Christmas present they so desperately needed.  After losing GC so suddenly (& giving us yet another big laugh) .. it could be a case of 'every cloud has a silver lining' for them.

However ...Let The Banter Begin, cant wait for the next 'gift' from the Mem.. Happy Christmas. ?

and when asked why nothing has happened in the intervening years the answer would be 'these things take time'. (I would argue though the programme should be called 'Homes Under The Tarpaulin'

….given this weeks fine,  'Homophobes' rather than Homes Under The Tarpaulin' ?

(strange really, as they spend so much time 'camping')

    From the Post

‘ Bristol Rovers academy manager Chris Hargreaves is reportedly now the front runner to move into the vacant manager's position at the club.‘

    :rofl2br:

    What no Holloway ?

Hargreaves gotta be most likely out of that lot I would have thought... (thats if he's not planning to jump ship sometime soon … maybe he knows something CG knew too ! ;)

Hmm, just as I thought.. ?

  8. Another significant consideration for prospective managers to think about is the existence of this, now legendary, notorious Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread here on OTIB.

Its a factor, having seen the constant gamut of scrutiny and ridicule suffered by predecessors' that they will find themselves embroiled in if they dare to go over to The Darkside and face the unavoidable wrath of the dreaded Dustbin Thread.

** Hey Boys, you have been warned! **

  9. A surprise celebrity appearance is expected in Bristol today to mark the launch of the city's Period Friendly Bristol initiative.

The aim is to end 'period poverty' and to help with the monthly expense of female sanitary products...

"It'll be an absolute pleasure to visit Bristol today in support of this fannytastic  charitable initiative it is a cause close to my heart, I'm delighted to be associated with it and put my name to ' said Mr Blobby.

  10. Will the Gas be making an official complaint to last nights referee?

Clearly he breached an unwritten contract by forgetting to award at least one penalty to them during the 90minutes of standard time.

Although I suppose as it was a cup game goal difference didn't come into it as long as they won.

Bet they're still bloody miffed about it though, and did nobody even get red carded?  Scandalous!

Clarke Harris is not injured. They cannot afford him getting injured, he will be sold in January.

Has this been confirmed ?  Maybe the manager wants to concentrate on the league?  Expect the manager will make a statement before kick off..

Ohh, hang on, perhaps not ?

GC leaving is Wally’s ready made excuse for when the inevitable plummet down the table happens. He or his family cannot afford promotion. Not that it would of happened if GC stayed anyway.

Exactly this, Wally must be delighted with life right now... (not his fault, things were going well on the field, squad proven promotion hopefuls etc -all for the benefit of the fewers, who will be led to believe all Wallys plans were ruined when he was let down by the untimely desertion of his manager).  Wally can shed a few woe is us, crocodile tears while secretly being delighted he won't have to deal with all the unaffordable expense a dreaded promotion would have brought with it..

Wages, Stadium/facility upgrades etc for life in the Championship would have been the final nail, the straw that broke the camels back which once and for all killed off the club... Wally simply couldn't afford a team promotion.

The 'hard luck' story of losing CG and missing out on a glorious promotion may be just what Wally needs right now to buy himself a little more time with the 'faithful'.
