  1. Correct me if I’m wrong but were they not on the brink of financial ruin? Yet somehow are managing to signing everyone they want? Bayern manager has mentioned this also. How is this possible???
  2. I believe the assumption is he is flying out to Austria
  3. Not only is it great to see him scoring but with a header as well. Arguably one of the biggest weaknesses of his from what I have seen. Doesn’t get as many of the plaudits as he doesn’t play for a premier league team but he has looked a level above most in this tournament.
  4. We have sellable assets in HNM, Scott, Semenyo. Obviously we wouldn’t want to but should we need to and sell Themis transfer window, would that go against the numbers? Or are the finances as of a fixed date so even selling this transfer window wouldn’t help avoid a points deduction? What would be worse from our perspective? A 10 point deduction or losing one of our prized assets?
  5. Didn’t MacGregor all but confirmed this signing a few days ago? Not saying that guarantees anything but a positive sign nonetheless
  6. Don’t have an Avon Gorge Hotel in Coventry by any chance do they?
  7. He would be an exciting signing, but we also thought that about the young keeper we signed from Bayern a few years ago. I guess we will see one way or another.
  8. I can’t see us directly replacing a keeper of Bentley’s calibre with a relatively untried 20 year old. It’s not unheard of by any means, just look at the Leeds keeper. But I’d be surprised if he came straight in as number 1.
  9. Wasn’t there a few grumbles when Nige said we’d have to be dealing in the free transfer market this summer as there was little money to spend. We seem to be doing alright out of it it would seem.
  10. I think we all know who his one decent, 90 min performance per season will come against…
  11. Every club now knows what league they will be in next season. Surely if there were other clubs willing to make an offer this would have happened now otherwise they run the risk of missing out. Of course this may well be the case but surely it would have made its way to the media if so?
  12. I don’t see it as that different. Someone is suggesting that mighty Bristol City, who have never played in the premier league, should not sell a player to a ‘tinpot’ club like Bournemouth, who have spent 5 out of the last 7 seasons in the premier league and will do so again next season. It is laughable. Bournemouth are, and have been for some time, years ahead of us. As for being called up by Ghana, as much of an achievement this is, let’s not forget their first choice keeper was our third choice keeper and currently plays in league 2. Not quite the force they were a few years ago. Edit: The difference between the two scenarios will be the fee we receive from who signs Semenyo. But regardless who of that is, it will be a huge move for him even if our fans don’t see it that way.
  13. In what would have otherwise been the usual underwhelming fixtures vs Luton Town this season, with their statement on the transfer and their fans reaction to it at least there will be a bit of spice to the games.
  14. Cryptic post by the media team… suggests they are Scottish
  15. Great that he has done. Still unbelievable in this day that people feel the need to make such an announcement. Hopefully this is the first step forward in the right direction
  16. It would be madness if we were not even talking to the league 2 player of the season who is out of contract and plays down the road. Let’s hope we get this one over the line (based on reputation and nothing else admittedly).
  17. That was my first thought as well
  18. Would this be instead of or as well as Kane Wilson, if we were interior course?
  19. The only real down side to this is the amount of messages I’ve had from either gas supporting mates or, even worse, mates that don’t even support them trying to have a dig and take the piss out of me… Literally couldn’t give a shit. Fair play to them, quite a result. But what it has to do with me I really don’t know! And if you say you couldn’t care they think they are getting a reaction!
  20. Good argument, will give you that! Guess it comes from our youth but you are probably right, equally as cringy.
  21. As a grown person, do you really wait to see players walk around a pitch? Seems strange to me. I got memories from being a kid running onto the pitch last game of the season, great times. Unfortunately our kids what get to make memories. They get to talk about the time someone waved from afar!
  22. Why are pitch invasions frowned upon nowadays? Years ago it was the done thing last game of the season regardless of how things had gone. Games gone soft! Just to add to that, don’t get the point of the lap of appreciation either.
  23. Is it based on ticket sales like football? 90,000 tickets sold even if 70,000 people show up
