As I write this they occupy three of the four play off places… so what’s the secret? We hear a lot about budgets but arguably these clubs must have some of the lowest budgets in the league. Logic would suggest they shouldn’t be where they are. Quite often you get a surprise package each season but not three. What are they doing so right that clubs like ourselves and many others aren’t???

Elliott was signed as a 16 year old and has played about 30 times for them in 4 years, including a season on loan back in the championship. Scott has been a regular starter in the championship for 2 seasons. Not exactly a like for like comparison.

Being linked with Liverpool this morning. Sounds glamorous but personally feel this would be a bad move. Unlikely to get many minutes if you look at Carvalho this season.

Absolutely, and here is hoping he kicks on from today. I honestly believe no fan wants a player to fail. That’s not to say some will have more to prove than others and reactions can be a bit OTT, whether that’s positive or negative.

The people saying about criticising Cornick after two months and multiple poor performances was judging too early, are the same people who now after one good game are making out he is Messi ? Yes he played well but this needs to be a regular occurrence, not an every now and again thing.

Looking at the last squad, a centre back that doesn’t play for his club is starting and on the bench is Dier who is having a more than mixed season at Spurs and Guehi who is hardly having a standout season for Palace. Webster is playing a key part in Brighton team who with their games in hand could find themselves third in the premier league! It’s absolute madness.

This one has always confused me… If it’s in the halfway line you can take it as quickly as you like, no need to wait for the refs whistle. Why is it so different when it’s outside the box? You can’t have different rules based on where on the pitch the free kick is, that’s ridiculous. It should be down to the defending team to stay switched on, simple as.

I know a lot has been made of this this week so thought I would check it out this morning for the first time in years… Christ! How have they dragged it out for so long. This is terrible. Could be such a good Saturday morning programme again if done right so hopefully there will be something to replace it for those who watch regularly. Who were those two women? For the record, I never once mentioned the play offs! For me it’s always been about looking over our shoulder. You are probably right though. It’s a forum so people should all say the same thing and not have their own views. What were we thinking! Some people are realistic, some see everything through rose tinted glasses. I guess that’s the point in having a forum?

A squad decimated by injuries. It was a very poor performance, but to a man they have put in a lot this season. I think it will take its toll over the remaining weeks. Looking at the remaining fixtures, it’s a blessing we have such a cushion over the bottom 3 as I think points in April will be few and far between.
