  1. Yes I agree, but it’s those who refuse to accept that there must be more to it than just a numbers game. There is a reason others are starting/in the squad other than “balance”
  2. In the few mins he has been given since coming on vs Stoke Mehmeti had done well. Winner in that game, lively vs Middlesbrough but then given 3 mins here and there ever since. Hardly given a chance I’m sure you’ll agree. Our form hasn’t been great over the last few games and yet still doesn’t get an opportunity to change things for us. Yet Cornick gets given chance after chance??? If he was to have a big impact next season then surely giving him more minutes this season would be beneficial? Makes no sense to me however people try to justify it.
  3. It is and I think any other season would most likely be the case but both Millwall and Coventry have outperformed themselves this season. If anything it should give us hope. Luton are the club I’m most disappointed with being so far behind in terms of where we are. Based on last season they have not over performed, more so they now give themselves a decent shot of the playoffs on a nothing budget.
  4. Based on that I would rather have seen Mehmeti playing and getting more championship games under his belt given he could be a big part of our future. We have numbers, I don’t know if I would say we have strength.
  5. I think this could be why Mehmeti isn’t on the bench. Nothing to play for, going to be some sentimental farewell appearances so someone had to make way.
  6. The move to Brighton is one many city fans would like to see him make I feel, although in doing so he would have to be willing to recognise this would damage his England chances as players from Brighton don’t get call up, just ask Webster and Dunk. To get a call up he’d be better sitting in the bench at a big club!
  7. The joys of football is the difference in opinions I guess.. 2-0 up vs Liverpool, 2-0 vs West Ham, 3-3 draw vs Southampton at home. If that isn’t bottling it I don’t know what is. Purely out of interest now, if Man City failed to win the league from here on in, do you think they would have bottled it? Do you think they have one hand on the trophy now even though they have been in second place most the season and are still two points off Arsenal after tonight?
  8. Yes they have been without a key player but they have still thrown away 6 points in the last three games they should have won. It’s not even a case of ‘could have gone into tonights game with an 11 point lead’, it’s ‘should have gone into tonight’s game with an 11 point lead’! Plus I’m pretty sure they spent £20m on a centre back in January yet have continued to play Holding who is clearly out of his depth at this level. That’s on Arteta!
  9. I genuinely can’t see how they can say it’s been a good season after what has happened over recent weeks, regardless of what they’re aim at the start of the season was. Things change as a season progresses and they won’t have a better chance of winning the league again for many a year. Dropped points vs Liverpool and West Ham from winning positions and then against Southampton. It’s the exact definition of bottled it.
  10. Fair to say we put up a better fight vs Man City than Arsenal have!
  11. Without reading through 5 pages, can someone summarise what position he plays and what type of player he is as I’ve read a million different things on twitter, thanks
  12. He’s been a massive influence in most games. Unfortunately for us he isn’t able to win games single-handedly and has players around him not on the same level. Influencing games is more than goals and assists.
  13. Care to find a graph of wages in the conference? I tried but gave up ?
  14. There is having the biggest budget, and then there is blowing everyone out the water. I don’t think any Notts County players are in £10k a week
  15. Another point I forgot to add earlier sorry… How many other non-league teams do you think would get sponsored by the biggest social media app in the world? As well as a documentary on one of the worlds biggest streaming platform?
  16. To an extent. I would say however at that level, it definitely guarantees you success
  17. Would never be able to bring myself to congratulate them. Notts County deserve more congratulations for keeping pace with them all season on a much lower budget. People love the Wrexham circus. The Hollywood script. If you ask me, paying players the equivalent of high end league 1/low end championship wages makes their promotion far less of an achievement. More about what a failure it would have been had they not got promoted.
  18. Scott’s recent injured had many people thinking we had seen the last of him in a city shirt. If fans were thinking that then he will be as well. We are too close to the end of the season now with little to play for that Scott is going to risk a big injury that jeopardises a potential big summer move for him. Whether you agree with it or not, it’s hard not to see his side of things. I would rather see Taylor-Clark given the minutes from here on in.
  19. Exactly this. I still think Szomdic’s never given a chance was a shocker by the club. Yet he went on to prove he is championship quality with Peterborough and starts most games for a Blackburn team fighting for the play offs. Would hate to see Wilson go elsewhere without being given a decent chance.
  20. I won’t lie, I was very much against Robins every time he has been linked with us. He has gone a very good job though and makes you wonder what might have been. That’s no disrespect to Nige. We are were we are and he has had to tidy up a lot of mess.
