  1. Agree with all of this other than having a stronger squad. Quantity doesn’t equal quality. With the exception of Dickie and Knight on Saturday it was the same starting 11 that struggled last season. Knight instead of Scott isn’t an improvement, Dickie over Atkinson remains to be seen but I dint think for one second we are stronger. It’s a myth!
  2. I don’t get this wage bill limit rubbish, but then again I don’t run a football. However, if £20/£25m doesn’t allow you to change that wage bill I would be amazed!
  3. Wasn’t at the game tonight but sounds like he had a stormer. Pring wasn’t at his best vs Preston and Nige said before tonight’s game it’s down to the players to take the opportunity given to them. So who starts at left back on Saturday out of the two of them???
  4. It’s not nice losing a player like Scott. A generational talent. To us Bournemouth are a small club, much like the Luton fans when we signed Naismith, or Derby fans when we signed Knight. Will be a pleasure watching his career develop from afar.
  5. However, this only turns into a good move for us if the money is reinvested into a few decent signings. Scott replacement, keeper and now cover for Conway, be it a loan or permanent signing.
  6. Playing premier league football? I thought it was a strange move at first but most the “experts” are predicting a 13th/14th place finish for Bournemouth this season. Of course that doesn’t guarantee anything but certainly not one of the favourites to go down.
  7. And today we played badly and was fortunate to come away with a draw against one of the poorer teams in the league. People have a right to voice frustration…
  8. Is McCrorie out injured? I’ve not seen anyone mention his name. For what we paid surely he is a starter?
  9. Massive credit to Scott for how he has conducted himself throughout the summer so far. Even his tweet after the Portsmouth game showed he is happy to be here and playing football.
  10. The fee itself is going to be irrelevant as far as the fans are concerned. All we will know (unless in the know) is that it will be an ‘undisclosed club record’ fee. I am sure there will be multiple media claims as to the value, much like when we sign HNM. The value ranges anywhere between £2m to £8m.
  11. If we are to sell, which I think is a given, then this is exactly what we need. Bournemouth know that if bigger clubs get involved they have no chance. Stick to our guns and they will soon panic into paying exactly what we would deem acceptable. As for the move itself, big risk for Scott. With what happened to Parker and the new manager coming in, the season could be a complete disaster.
  12. Touting him around ?. I’m not sure who you think I am but I can reassure you I hold little power in the world of football. Sorry to disappoint. I didn’t think discussing possible scenarios was “touting” in any case…
  13. Liverpool, once credited with an interest, are about the receive a windfall with selling Henderson and Fabinho. I know they have already signed two midfielders but I assume that was always their plan. Could the additional cash maybe tempt them into looking at Scott?
  14. Hit hard that one. If ever there needed to be a reminder that you don’t know what someone has been through, especially when they are seen to “have it all”, this is it. A unique footballing talent who I hope can get back to his best, but more importantly that he is able to leave his demons in the past and move forward positively.
  15. Given he has travelled to Austria with the rest of the squad I would assume that means nothing is imminent??
  16. Why would we sell him for less just because it’s Inter? Doesn’t make sense to me
  17. I also saw this and spoke to him briefly, he was livid he was made to play against his wishes that day knowing he was injured. I said about it in here the following day and was told I was making it up! On topic, shocking decision by Bournemouth. Hopefully this bites them on the ass massively this coming season.
  18. Wolves about to cash in on Neves which firstly means they will have money to spend and secondly will be looking for a replacement…
  19. He is on international duty currently, doubt anything will happen, if at all, until next week.
  20. I mean when you look at the players listed in that article, the fact he has even been mentioned is quite something! Is it a win win with Scott though from our perspective? If he stays we got a hell of a player for another season. If he leaves it will be for a decent fee. Or is it a case of to progress as a club we need to cash in while there is still a decent amount of time left on his contract? Personally hoping that should be go anywhere, Brighton is the place he ends up.
