Wouldn’t go on radio, instead released a premeditated interview under no pressure to answer real questions. And even then they have failed to address any of the points the fans are angry about, the main one being why sack Pearson! It goes from bad to worse with this club. If you follow Thorpe on twitter he comes across as someone who looks back favourably of his time here and still thinks highly of the club. I don’t think he would say anything deliberately without considering the value it adds.

A lot of rumours, hearsay, guess work going on, most of which is there or thereabouts. Good to hear something from a reliable source giving a bit of substance to everything. Still as angry about this today as I was when the news broke yesterday. NP has been well and truly shat on by the board. Only question from me is there have been a comment or two about Tinnion and his part in all this. Seems harsh to me that fingers are pointed in his direction, unless you know otherwise?

Not sure if this has already been said but if I could speak to him face to face I would say you are leaving with your head held high and the support and respect of the fan base still fully behind you. We acknowledge the difficulties you faced during your time with the club and the job you have done with no support from those above you is fantastic. You leave the club in a hell of a lot better place than when you arrived. Not often a manager leaves and a majority of fans are in uproar about it. You don’t think Lee Johnson knew what was going on with the club’s financial situation during his time here? He wasn’t the only one guilty, Lansdown should never have let it happen. But he sign every player he thought could take us to the promised land a failed miserably.

And we have been paying for it ever since! Those finishes were nothing to be proud of. The 11th place finish was the season we were top 6 around Christmas wasn’t it? Pearson has spent 2 and a half years digging us out of a Lee Johnson sized hole. Spent a lot of money and achieved nothing!

As many have said, this decision was made some time ago. It’s the only plausible reason NP was not backed financially in the summer following the sell of Scott. They didn’t want him spending the money set aside for the next guy, not that I expect that to be much! I was gutted when Gary Johnson left even though he had clearly run its course. Cotts was screwed over that transfer window believing deals were lined up only to have the rugged pulled from underneath him. This one leave the most bitter taste by far. It’s not often so many of the fan base are still fully supportive of a manager and the board chose to fire them.

“Ambition to be promoted” is a direct quote from Jon Lansdown regarding the decision to fire Pearson… Let’s see how serious that ambition is with this next appointment shall we!

I’ve not seen those comments. People choosing not to go for a game to protest is perfectly acceptable. Personally I feel vocal protests are a better way of doing it.

Against the joke of a board and their decision to fire Pearson. Show Pearson the backing he still had from the fans. SL had let down Cotts and threw him under the bus and now the same for Pearson. While in between the two, allowed Johnson to run this club into the ground season after season. Time to force his hand and move this club on to someone capable.

No ugly situation? I will assume you didn’t hear NP’s interview last week and the comments he made about his contract situation. Whether you think that’s a situation or not, NP clearly does and it will obviously have a knock on effect.

On the subject of digital tickets, a few of the people I go with are away tomorrow due to the half term. Am I right in thinking you can transfer the tickets so many times a season? And if so how does this work? Cheers
