  1. Managed to get a few afternoon ciders in to the point I wanted to buy the fight.

Looking forward to this one, and the Price/Allen fight, even more after the ciders and Chinese. Just need to stay awake for it!

Hoping the undercard fights are worth a watch as well.

He must look at this shit show and the serious money Khan is getting paid for it and wonder why on Earth he had to get his eyes shattered by GGG and Spence to make his wedge.

Certainly earned more respect with those fights than Khan will with this circus

  3. Usyk made mandatory for the winner of the Ruiz/Joshua rematch.

Now I won’t claim to know a lot about boxing. I just enjoy it for what it is and offer an opinion on it. I also really grew fond on Usyk during the build up to the Bellew fight and have been looking forward to his debut in the heavyweight division.

But please could someone explain to me how someone who have never had a fight at heavyweight become the mandatory challenger for world titles?

  4. Before the fight when buffer was doing the intros, AJ was leaning back against the corner ropes and looked as though he was having the back of his head massaged.

Not something I have noticed before in boxing, let alone specifically with AJ (although I could be wrong!).

Is this normal? Does it happen and  have just not noticed before? (Thought it looked strange at the time, not just because he took a beating!)

Really gotta ask what the Klitchko knock down and now this have done to his chin. He looked terribly chinny to me.

Think it goes back further than this to when AJ and Whyte fought.

Whyte caught AJ in one of the rounds and really rattled him but just was good enough to finish the job off back then.

You do wonder why more people haven’t taken it to AJ before knowing there is a weakness there.

There is a rematch clause, I heard Hearn mention it before the fight

Back in the UK apparently! Didn’t take long to come running back knowing the American fans won’t give two shits about him now

  7. Surely Fury is the only option for Joshua after the weekend if he wants his next fight in America?

Can’t see the American fans caring about Joshua/Whyte. Fury built a bit of a following after his fight against Wilder.

For the record, what a knob Wilder is! Why would you not want to fight for the title of undisputed world heavyweight champion?!

Don't forget there's also Matchroom's stinker from Maryland overnight!

Shame Usyk got injured, but Hunter and Hrgovic are on the bill, such as it is.

Forgot Usyk was supposed to be tonight. Shame that isn’t happening.

As for the Fury fight, that was as pathetic as it gets.

You're in for a treat mate, this guy is serious.

That knockout they showed from his quarter final was something else! And after only 70 seconds?!

Canelo v Jacobs should be a good one at the weekend?

Usually record the US fights and catch up the following morning but this promises to be special. Given it’s a bank holiday I might treat myself and get up for this one

  11. Was just having his best period tonight of the fight as well shortly before Price clubbed him.

Sounded like he was kicking off in the crowd as well. Fair to say he would be no loss to the sport if he never fights again!
