  1. Tried tried to do this as a poll but wouldn’t let me.

Three obvious ones for me are Ryan Kent, Louis Diony and Mebude.

Strangest sign has given circumstances, pedigree etc has to be Mebude. At least with Kent and Diony they can with a bit of a reputation.

  2. The kid is phenomenal! MVG said he was better at the same age. I call bullshit. Littler is next level.

Having not had one for a few years I bought a dartboard a few weeks ago and have loved throwing some arrows whenever I get the chance. Hit one 180 so far.

Ironically our last two penalties have been deemed incorrect by Sky Sports Ref Review of Weekend big Calls.

Of all the decisions in the EFL in a given weekend we come out in 2 of 3 weeks as undeserving beneficiaries. Conway was deemed to have dived in the latter ie v Rotherham.

    Making up for lost time!

Although Conway’s was as blatant a dive as you will ever see!

  4. Despite not being his biggest fan since his arrival, how has Manning not been nominated for manager of the month with us being one of the form teams in the league?

Neil Harris has been nominated after 4 straight wins, but that is following 2 defeats at the start of the month to Rotherham and Huddersfield, both of whom will be in league 1 next season.

    Who picks these lists???

I’ve always been more coy on that second point. How much was him, how much of it was due to bidding wars between desperate clubs, and the players just being of incredible standard?

He also spent some ******* absurd transfer fees on absolute dross that took us years to recover from, if that’s the comparison here.

He got top money for players. I do not recall a bidding war for Webster and fee was never confirmed, but rumoured £20m+ for a centre back we paid less than £5m for a year before is undeniably good business.

In terms of fees paid, again the buck stops with the Lansdown’s on that surely? I don’t know how things are run from the inside, but surely they would have had final sign off on any money leaving the club? And if not I would question why.

He absolutely was, key reason being: he was allowed to be. He clearly is managed and kept in check far, far better there than he ever was here. For on and off the pitch matters here, he was allowed to do literally whatever he wanted

He was the problem as he was not managed properly?! So he wasn’t the problem then…

He generated so ridiculous transfer fees for us while he was here.

  7. Great time to do the interview after the run of results.

Can’t be bothered to listen to it so could someone please confirm if JL put on record an apology to Pearson for the way the situation was handled and his thanks for the work he done for this club?

We are a bigger club! Just not as well a run club!

I guess the “bigger” club will always be up for debate.

I would say their few years in the premier league outweigh anything we have ever achieved.

Would also question how well they were run. Lots of talk about how they got to the premier league. Fact is, they did.

Don't think they did Ivan - simply thought he'd go to a bigger club when he did get his PL move. Newcastle, Spurs, etc.

Unfortunately for us, the injury he got start of season dampened his progress this season, so no sell-on for us. Yet.

Not quite sure about that. There was definitely a few “why would he leave us for Bournemouth” comments, much like Luton with Naismith. Only difference being, Luton were proved right.

  10. Lots of people questioned Scott’s move to Bournemouth. Assumed he’d be back in the championship after one season in the premier. Some even believing we were a bigger club than them.

Here they are doing something we are unlikely to ever achieve. Showa what we know!

  11. Manning shouldn’t be the debate in this thread. He was the one chosen to take the reins after Pearson, that’s not his doing. Whether you think we have progressed under him, if you are content/happy with the football on offer, that’s to be debated elsewhere.

What should be discussed on this thread is what was suspected all along, which was the total lack of respect and appreciation those running the show had for Nige. The man who was tasked with getting this club back on track following years of reckless ownership and blind faith in poor managers. He achieved this and more in my book. A togetherness between players and fans we hadn’t seen since Cotts. It was one of those rare situations where fans were on the managers side yet the board wanted rid.

At the end of the day, if it was results, personality clashes, Nige’s health… the reason becomes almost redundant. What is clear is the way in which SL, JL and BT made an absolute shitshow of things and why Nige shouldn’t even give them the time of day.

Year on year this is up and you know it , 10k this time last year, you have your view but it’s the truth well up at this stage

Fair enough, I thought someone said they were at 10k last year and 8k this. If they are up then fair enough.

If yourself and the seagull don’t renew that’s up to you , good luck to you , but what it does say is that this forum does not necessarily speak for the general fan base, it’s been awful on here for  months yet tickets have gone very well

How is any reduction in ticket sales “gone very well”? This is a football club. It’s not like buying tickets for something where there are multiple options that can impact sales. If numbers are down, it’s because people either aren’t happy or have been priced out of going. Neither is a good thing.

Long way to go of course. General sale might be booming and good luck to anyone wanting to invest. Just find that particular comment strange.

That was last week , it was 10k sold a year ago tomorrow so we will see soon as a lot will have done it late for various reasons , I do hope any drop is not greeted on here with glee , we are City fans at the end of the day and more people in the ground helps us whatever people’s agendas

No one will greet it with glee. In fact I would say the opposite. Many becoming that disillusioned with the club they feel they can’t renew.

Having said that, not lining SL pockets so he invest in anything but football isn’t the worse thing.

    Keep digging….

This is absolutely fine in my book. Clubs should at an absolute minimum be able to hear what was discussed. I’d even go as far as saying it should be played live at the ground when the conversation is taking place.

  16. If I hadn’t already decided not to renew, then the events in matches this weekend would have probably convinced me not to, regardless of my thoughts on this club currently.

The powers that be are doing everything they can to kill the game. VAR will be the death of it. Who even wants to be promoted to the premier league and have to deal with that each week? Coventry screwed over, Forest as well (regardless of their reaction in the aftermath). Even with VAR they can’t get it right, or they could but choose not to in favour of the big clubs.

Why can’t football be like it was 10, 15, 20 years ago?

As well as this, I have a mate who is a Lino in league one and two and they have been updated on some rule changes coming in next season. Take it from me, the game of football will get worse and worse.

  17. Was the penalty decision for handball more harsh than the offside decision to rule out the goal?

If you look at the Everton vs Forest game, Forest had a clearer handball not given even with VAR.

Still can’t believe they have not made the offside rule as simple as daylight between attacker and defender. Wenger has been pushing this for year I believe.

I'm not always fussed about the PL, but on this beautiful spring day in April I find myself watching Wolves v Arsenal to find 3 Wolves outfield players (Gomez, Traore and amazingly Doherty) wearing gloves!!!

Is Roy Keane in the studio?
