How much of a setback to his progression since joining us has this been? This would be 9 months+ without a competitive game?

Let’s follow the Ipswich blueprint! Step one, recruit Mark Ashton…
Also, isn’t it time to change the title of the thread? Believe this was set up to mock Ipswich when they appointed Ashton. Fair to say the joke has long gone!

Yep I could definitely sense Vardy deliberately wanted to miss those 4 sitters
Exactly, no one misses that many sitters, let alone Vardy!

He organised a win over a Leicester team doing all they can to avoid getting back to the premier league and being financially ruined.
Good result on paper. Reality is something different.

I kept saying I wouldn’t go today but never believed it even myself. But here I am, no intention of making the effort today.
I’m not happy about it. Should look forward to match days. The sad reality is we could beat the league leaders 3, 4 or 5 nil today and I just couldn’t care less. In fact, I would probably be more annoyed by a win than anything else, much like the Swansea game.
Yes I’m a bad fan, but please don’t blame me for feeling this way…

If the club say its happening then it's happening. Don't you dare rely on your own eyes and judgements.
Woke up this morning and am dreading going to the Gate.....wondering which BCFC team will turn up?
(For the record I align myself fully with your comment- I see no progress only regression)
At least you are wondering which one will turn up. For me it’s obvious, there is only one team to choose from and I’m not interested in giving them any of my time or effort.

Bingo fans in for a treat here. Bad news is that Liam doesn’t see one season ending and another one starting but wants to just see the progress continue.
He also believes he’s his own biggest critic. A certain seagull from Weston objects.
A few interesting questions. Really didn’t answer the question about planned subs or otherwise.
For progress to continue, doesn’t it first have to happen?

For those blaming the FA, they have rules in place and he should be punished for any he has broken, much like others before him.
Regarding the help he needs, Newcastle are his employer, not the FA. They should be the ones supporting him with this surely?

I dare someone to buy a t shirt and take a picture wearing it on Friday at the ground

CR7/Nike, Messi/Adidas I get for obvious reasons.
Onyego Vyner/Bristol City will take some working out…

We won’t win the euros for two reasons. Firstly, not for the quality defensively. Secondly, Southgate!

Keep hearing good things about Benarous. Wouldn’t it be great if he comes back into the side to give us something to be excited about again.
If he is as exciting as he promises then not likely to get a looking under Manning. Excitement is part of Manningball

Gallagher's main talent seems to be running around a lot
Not that I rate Gallagher at all, but isn’t that the same as Jason Knight?

Going into the euros, left back and the third midfielder (Gallagher playing there tonight) are the biggest areas of concern.
I personally would like to see Rice, Bellingham and Foden in the midfield three.
Regarding the left back position, that one is anyone’s guess. Don’t think Chilwell or Shaw are the answers.

Not too bothered either way on this. As others have said, if you don’t like it don’t buy it.
However, a good point someone did make was how would the Welsh feel if you were to remove the dragon from their flag and replace it with say a cat?

One of my team in work said he was thinking of moving to Birmingham so couldn’t do the three days a week in the office and if was made to do so would need to be compensated with a travel allowance.
Response was he could live wherever he wanted, that’s his choice. But he has to be in the office three days a week and at his own expense.
Guess the same theory applies to your support of city. Great you have a season ticket and show such commitment, but you choose to live in London. Why should that be treated differently to anyone living 5 mins away?

The problem is and has always been our owner always looks at other clubs and then wants to copy their blueprint. We’ve heard it all before and you can list the clubs , Swansea, Reading, Brighton, Brentford, now Luton (I’m sure I’ve missed numerous of others off). No doubt it Ipswich get promoted , they’ll say we need to do what Ipswich have done - although to an extent we’re trying to copy the inexperienced head coach route.
I’d just wish they’d draw up a philosophy and stick it to, ignore outside noise and what other clubs are and aren’t doing. Because we try to copy and take snippets we end up in a mess. How many times does this happen? It’s a culture from the top and probably why we’ve never moved forward (on the pitch). We’ve needed experienced football people in the club , making decisions and allowed the opportunity to make those decisions rightly or wrongly.
What our owner doesn’t see is that sometimes a club gets momentum and becomes a force , like Luton, sometimes it’s because they hire the right people and to an extent get lucky with more correct decisions than wrong ones. We had to an extent the momentum under GJ , we weren’t a great team but it clicked , sometimes it’s as simple as thatThe trouble with the Ipswich blueprint is a certain Mark Ashton!
Again, questions need to be asked as to how he is driving the Ipswich charge, yet was nearly leading us to financial ruin.

You joke (I think) but I wouldn't put it past this club. They're probably commissioning a mural in the concourse as we speak.
Why do I have an image of statues of Tinnion and Manning dressed as Greek gods, with Pearson on his hands and knees bowing before them???

As a minimum, surely this warrants some sort of response/communication from the board/owners.
It’s a disheartening shambles (again).
You’ve had their response, increased season ticket prices!

Delighted? Not really. I’d say not bothered sums it up.
6 points that guarantee our safety shouldn’t be celebrated. How about picking up wins when it actually matters for future reference.
