Throw ins are a free pass. There are about 22 per team in a game in the championship. Multiply that by amount of games played that's hundreds of opportunities.

Taking risks and losing the ball generally diminishes opportunity. Thrown ins that go lateral or backwards increase opportunity because statistically possession increases massively, and it is massively. A thrown in backwards to team mate is in pro football successful 99% of the time, and the team can build from this. Success drops to below 50% going forward, and that's first contact, second contact frequently also goes to the opponent.

Yet it puzzles me, since you can’t be offside, attacking throw ins rarely go into the corner like a channel ball. Defenders don’t sit back on the goal line, so there is usually space available for a well timed run. And without offside, run timing isn’t as crucial as it usually is.

I can't understand why fans park around that area with the threat of a ticket hanging over their heads anytime when you can use the p & r officially for £2 , as i do , without any worry  and walk back afterwards.

Or if you’re of retirement age it’s entirely free with a bus pass.

Not sure if it was everyone but all our group . We would have willingly paid £20  for the game but it's the fact they were advertising £15.

I've seen no explanation and there's nothing on the Q & A page.

Yeah. Five questions to the SLO about those prices/fees haven’t been answered.

Many older fans that recall the us beating Chelsea in this competition will have had their fill, by, now, after so many years, of this type of "ruffling a young boy's hair" coverage from one of the nationals. How we long to be the big gun getting turnt over by a tinpot and then going back to the big boy football at the top of the game .....

Let’s hope we don’t have to play Blackpool then!

The tickets are a mess currently and give mixed messages::

At the top it says 'The barcode only allows one entry per ticket' but actually you scan the QR code to get in, not the bar code.

Re: printing it actually says 'If you can, please print your ticket in A4 size or alternatively scan via your smart phone' so people have every right to scan tickets, and I would argue a lot of people don't have printers now, a lot of workplaces don't have them these days.

It's well within the clubs remit to make the tickets better.

I definitely only scanned the bar code. Surely you can use either?

Just discussed Deeney behaviour of throwing his full back under the bus.

Martin O’Neill was excellent and put it down to Deeney being an inexperienced manager who made a stupid mistake. Deeney has since apologised to the player.

You were chatting with Martin O’Neill??

  7. Hi. Some of us have noticed that tickets are being charged at above the prices stated in the email.

In my case, a 65+ Lansdown wings ticket should cost £15, but I've been charged £20. Is this a widespread error?

I am over 65in the Lansdown Wings.  I have had to pay £20 plus £1.25 fees for a seat that is advertised as £15 in the email from the club.  For the sake of £5 I can't be bothered to wait for hours on the phone to sort it out.  Have I missed something?

I had the identical situation (except I didn't get charged the £1.25 fee!)

The email said the 65+ seats would be £15 but they've charged us the Adult £20 price. And I didn't miss an option to confirm my age because the printed ticket says 65+ and £20.

Cock up. I've submitted something in the SLO Q&A section.

go to the ticket information section, in the BCFC V West Ham section there is a red link below which says "click here to purchase your reserved seat" it should take you to your ticket

Thanks. Alternatively, if you go in via the link in the recent email from the club, it takes you to the option to buy your regular seat.

I initially went in to the available seats, which are presumably those not held by season ticket holders.
