In previous decades there were many overly hyped youth players but that has changed massively and the fact that BCFC field more players from the youth system/academy than most teams in Europe is testament to this.

As far as Bournemouth go- Alex has played in 6 out of 19 Prem matches due to ongoing injury issues whilst Semenyo is in and out playing 28 matches since he left BCFC scoring 4 goals at a combined cost of £30 million so I'm not sure if if they'll be reaching for their chequebook any time soon.

But after that handful of appearances for Bournemouth, Danny Murphy has been singing Alex's praises on MOTD and The Athletic are already calling him Bournemouth's most naturally talented player. So I think they'll be qute happy.

I see it as cushy for one simple reason - as long as SL / JL are in charge it’s highly unlikely he get the sack. If things go wrong there will just be a reorganisation and he’ll be given another job

People thought that about LJ - and stated it repeatedly- but he was sacked in the end.

And is there any actual evidence that Tinnion had any say in the sacking of Pearson? I doubt it. It seems all to be 2+2=5.

Tinnion may well be a yes man, but I imagine JL calls the shots, whether we like it or not.

  3. I foolishly left it too late to get a ticket - despite having as ST.

However, I went and signed up on the West Ham website and have just bought tickets, which went on general sale at 2pm - no payment for membership required, just create an account. These are etickets which will be sent out seven days or so before the match.

Personally I dont mind being in the home areas and for £25 I've got tickets at the side of the stadium, where I prefer the view.

I had to put my address in (Somerset) but it doesnt seem to exclude by postcode or anything.

So if you missed out, there are plenty of tickets available, provided being in the away fans' area isnt crucial to you.

TBF, the club has it spot on outside the stadium on match days and the sports bar (or whatever its called this week) is also more than good. Concourses are equally good, but when in the actual stadium it tends to drop a bit. I don't know what the answer is but less noise, being able to hear what is being said in the Dolman (and I understand the Atyeo as well) would help.

Lower Lansdown too. The music is so loud that I can’t have a proper conversation with the guys next to me. Background music is fine but it’s like being in a nightclub.

I'm enjoying this, it's like the real Robbored has passed away and the admins have fed an AI language model all 41,300+ of your posts to create an incredibly inane chatbot in a very touching tribute.

I disagree. Robbored’s specialist subject has always been “stating the bleeding obvious” and nothing seems to have changed.

The Rugby to me is the elephant in the room - the flyers are easily hived off elsewhere as, absent the arena being built, they aren’t based at the same place/using the same facilities. The issue is that if you don’t include the Rugby in a sale, then what value does it have? It has no home of its own and as said, is in an industry where even at the top level, there isn’t money or kudos. Almost by default we have to include it and that makes a sale more difficult.

The holding out for money I think is based on the hope value of the sporting quarter. However, I’m not sure Lansdown will survive long enough to see that developed with how toxic things are. Possible he waits for the housing planning to secure his money there, then sells AG etc with planning permission and a new owner does what they wish.

Isn't there the possibility he could sell the football team and stadium, but retain and continue to finance the other teams? Not ideal if he wants a clean break, but feasible?
