Worrying for the first 15 minutes but we’ve been well on top since then. Their goal came out of the blue. Unlike Preston, they’re letting us play. Dickie has been very good on the ball.

But failed to score in two hours of dominance. Very poor finishing when it mattered. How many saves did our keeper need to make? They were strong and stopped us playing but you have to score goals too.

Nostalgia is lovely isn’t it? Sadly, in the last ten years they’ve spent almost as much time in the top tier as we have in our history. And we were last there 43 years ago. Their achievements make them a bigger club than us right now, despite what happened in my youth.

“First half was fine” - seriously? I thought we were abysmal and they played well. Admittedly they created little , but they were on the front foot and played decent football. We seemed to have no first touch, no ability to find space or pass.

I suspect it depends when you look. Lots disappear just before and after half time.

Atmosphere feeds off good football though. If you’re not even slightly excited by what the team is doing, you will naturally get quieter. A “singing section” can make noise, but to me that isn’t the atmosphere you get from an exciting match.

Well at least if they’re adults they’re paying a decent whack. What niggles is if people are paying a pittance for kids tickets and not using the seats.

I dont see why it’s odd. He lives nearby and identifies with the club and the city. He was probably keen to re-sign but BCFC allegedly only offered 40-50% of his previous salary. He was bound to look elsewhere. If he can get more somewhere else, you can hardly blame him.
