I've noticed the blue few ave been very quiet on season ticket sales this season, could it be they aren't as loyal as they made out? We've got over 15k I'm guessing they are sub 5k,
anyone know?
Think I saw £4k+ written somewhere, so, pretty much what you've guessed.

Now you know why they call us The Family Club!

So this widely accepted by your fellow blues is it? Why do they continue to talk about a new ground then? What do they think will be used to fund that?
I can't speak for every other Rovers supporter, I am sure that various different views are held by others. From social media, and the part of the ground I frequent, I would say that a lot of people have accepted that tarting up The Mem is the only certainty at the moment. Maybe those who continue to talk about a new ground are expecting investment from elsewhere?

At what point is your support likely to galvanize and demand some investment in the team?
You have strong numbers through the turnstile but every year you get free signings and has-beens desperate for a game.
I am amazed your lot are happy to be treated like that.
No point in demanding investment if the money isn't there - which it isn't. The era of getting has-beens thankfully seems to have diminished under DC, have to feel sorry for the bloke, being expected to unearth a Taylor or Bodin for nowt in every transfer window.
I've got to the stage where I put my energies into supporting the team on matchdays, rather than trying to change things which are beyond my reach. With age comes wisdom!

Their last three ‘heroes’ have all been sold for peanuts, but they won’t admit it mind! Matty Taylor, Billy Bodin, Lee Brown....those six words will wind up a gashead, anywhere, anytime...they talk of the ‘mass exodus from Ashton Gate’ yet we have pocketed £20m for the last three departures, they got £300k for Taylor, £300k for Bodin and undisclosed naff all for Brown....tinpot club....yet they are still ‘coming for us’.....
Brown wasn't sold, so nothing to disclose.
The other deals are what they are, that's the problem when you don't have the funds to take a chance on tying players down with lucrative, long-term contracts. Such is life.

"Resolution of allotment of securities" - this document has been filed at Companies House, but is not yet available to view. Can any of the accountancy experts on here please explain what this may entail?

Thanks, I had missed that.
Not surprised, it did fly under the radar, not sure if it even made the local press. It will be interesting to see what happens to the other fans' Director, who is still in situ at the moment.

Brian Seymour Smith has ceased to be a director of the gas; is that news or already well known?
He resigned a few months ago. He was one of the fans' Directors, and I think that he felt his role was obsolete - even more so than under the previous regime.

Thanks, although for a company owned by investment bankers who have a reputation to protect I think it does matter.
Fred Smith scaffolder down the road much less so.
I'd like to think so - fingers crossed here!

Accounts mailed out before the AGM to members and being reported on gas chat. People are arguing the toss about what it means and does it matter but nobody is disputing that the figures are correct.
They haven't been uploaded to Companies House yet so I haven't been able to see the level of debt vs security, interest payment, or what has been committed for support in the Going Concern note.
Last year the signing date was end of March and the commitment was twelve months therefrom so it will be interesting to see if the same commitment has been given and the same wording has been used.
It has, I think it's a fairly standard part of accounting practice, so doesn't mean a great deal.

So you think it’s ok to post the kids picture on social media rather than do things properly
As the police got the watch back, I guess that they did things properly as well as using social media. The "kid" is 14 years old, and may well have got rid of the watch before he was identified.
You may want to ask the same question of the person who put his picture on this thread?

In fairness your club is keeping them particularly busy of late.
Doing our bit to save them from any more cutbacks!
To give credit, I think it was the police who physically got the watch back from the lad.

Most people go through the usual channels like calling the police. No they plaster a kids image on social media and accuse him if being guilty before any shred of evidence. Unbelievable
When my car was stolen off my drive, all I got was a crime number. Even though the thieves must have come prepared as the battery was flat, and I said that I could give a description of two blokes who had knocked at the door asking to buy it a couple of weeks earlier. Do you really expect Avon & Somerset's finest to waste manpower on a stolen watch?

there in lays your problem,
as much as we are in safe hands with lansdown, he's always questioned by people with and without agendas,
We do have fans who ask questions, but unfortunately this doesn't include the two people who had access to the Board Meetings. For many years the Supporters Club has been hand in glove with the owners, willingly handing over money without question. They recently sold the SC premises at Two Mile Hill without consulting their membership, and the shortfalls of their accounting processes are well known. I think the SC is an outdated institution which needs to re-think it's purpose.

So the fans one route to questioning the club looks to be closing then.
Still, they'll accept it without fuss. It's what they do.
Nobody will notice any difference, as the fans' Directors haven't questioned the Board for at least 10 years.

I do know why it happened and also why their older, wiser fans stopped it. it says something when the ones who started it either didn`t know about the significance or worse, didn`t care. If there is one ground that song does not get sung at, it`s that one and I would hope all fans of all clubs would know that.
You would hope so, unfortunately some scrotes don't seem to have a filter with regards to unacceptable behaviour.

So they have a “top 6 budget”, “top 6 support”, finished top 10 last season and currently sit..... 15th!
Someone’s not doing a very good job, are they Darrell..?!
Clarke has made it clear that he hasn't got a top 6 budget. I presume Hamer meant that Clarke was given a budget which should enable him to get the team into the top 6, which is a totally different scenario.

Sorry - should have been 4k+ season ticket sales. £4k is probably the transfer budget!
