I would be amazed if they don't keep sunderland and pompey apart hoping for a sell out final ?
There will be two warm balls in the bag, for sure.

The state of the fewers
I bet he said to his missus look I'm going to write a statement and make all those supporters cry
Fair few posts where they openly admit to having tears? Jesus wept he isn’t even that good, even admitted by a couple of their own players, yet to the fans he’s the best manager they’ve ever had! Shows what a shite history they have when the 2 promotions he has got is from NON LEAGUE and League 2! This statement he’s released today apparently shows his ‘class’ he has no idea what the meaning of the word is, he’s a spoilt child who’s constantly whinging, he’ll never manage above L1.
Interested to know who these two players are? Cheers.

Without the scoreboard you honestly couldn't tell if there was a game on
Exactly as it should be since the EFL turned this comp into a farce. Well done to all those who boycotted the game tonight.

Who knew that Noel Edmonds is a gashead.........
He's West Ham - it's his stepson who supports Rovers.

£70k? That really doesn't sound much for a chairman.
I believe that's what was shown in the last set of accounts. Will be interesting to see how much extra the new CEO has put on wage bill - I haven't a clue what he does either!

That bloke must have no scruples at all or he's being handsomely rewarded.
I know the majority of the fewers are half wits but it would take even the thickest of witless irene tupping half breed to believe he's talking anything but a load of henbury.
He's just the frontman, who gets thrown under the bus by owners when they want a mouthpiece to address the unsettled fanbase, or deliver bad news (UWE stadium cancelled). Not sure that he knows much more than the fans to be honest.
He gets paid £70k per annum - I'd do it for £50k if they asked nicely.

Any particular reason you chose the blue side? Mates or something? that`s what it was for me, I lived in Taunton and all my friends went to City.
It could just as easily been Exeter if they`d gone down there and my football-supporting life would have been very different!
I knew people who supported both teams, it just felt like the right "fit" for me - no doubt I've left myself open to loads of abuse by saying that!
It could partly be due to the fact that I do always tend to take the side of the underdog in any competition, oh, and blue is my favourite colour.

You’ll find none that will admit it out right, they will generally say ‘I’ve always followed both’
I was taken to watch both as a child, and chose Rovers when I was old enough to go to matches on my own. Of course I would love us to have your wealth, and all that it brings with it, but Rovers are my club of choice and that's the way it will stay.

I always think of it being Boston who beat them in a league cup qualifier. Could be wrong though.
You are correct - Boston beat us 2 - 0

So if its not a exit gate how do the disabled supporters leave the ground, puzzling
The OP on here said "No steward has the authority to open an exit gate ..." - I was just clarifying that it was not solely an exit gate, there are larger gates which are only opened at the end of the match where exit can be accessed by all supporters.

No steward has the authority to open an exit gate. Sounds like more gas Bull5hit, unless someone at the Memorial Ground is on the fiddle. Surely not
It was the gate which is used to allow disabled supporters to access the ground, not an exit gate.

I should like to make a caustic post about this claptrap from Mr Gorringe but I am gagged at the moment.
Wouldn't have pegged you as an S&M fan Bert - thought M&S would be more up your street.

3 parties definitely involved (one being a huge surprise), plus another "firm" involved in future developments, but whether or not they are part of the board/owners and will have shares I don't know.
We shall see in a few weeks and it may still fall through, but I have no reason to disbelieve what I have been told what is going on at the moment. I am also certainly not claiming to be the only one "in the know" as a few will obviously have been told before me as well by close members of their club.
Is the "huge surprise" somebody who has been connected to City at some point?

They do indeed, Woodmarsh is the name of the (field) they play at..... it is quite literally a field with a portacabin for changing rooms. Actually maybe that would be a step up for Rovers!!
TTFC started up again at a much lower level than when they were at Frome Road. But to be honest I couldn't tell you what league they play in now. Seems a long time ago since the days of the Beazer Homes League Southern Division!!
Thanks for that - I'm still relatively new to Trowbridge, and didn't realise that the football club had reformed. I remember watching Rovers play a friendly against the original club, years ago at the Frome Road ground.

I live in Trowbridge and if the Gas move in I'd have to sell up and move out!!
Besides, any spare field around here is just developed for housing, I can't think of anywhere here that would be suitable for a Stadium.
The local council are also anti-sport that's why Trowbridge Town F.C. dissapeared all those years ago...their old ground is now a housing estate!
Don't Trowbridge Town play opposite the retail park where McDonald's is? A big "no" to Bath Rugby coming this way, if they are allowed to develop The Rec it should be in conjunction with Bath City.

Has he got a club at the moment? There were rumours a month or so ago that the Central Coast Mariners were after him.Looks like we might be going for Ross McCormack instead now.The poster lives in Australia, and it's his local "soccer" team that he's referring to with regards to being after McCormack

Considering he's been absolutely rinsed on here, humiliated on their forum and proven to be a liar by the police, I'll give him credit for being a persistent bugger. Totally full of shit but persistent! Either that or he just needs a life.
Oooh that's interesting, - didn't realise that @JulieH had gone public on the outcome of their meeting!

When you say loophole, you do mean acting within the law, don't you?
Somewhat like acting within the law to acquire a piece of real estate worth £6m, (GDs words) for £2m and £10k.
That's exactly what a loophole is - it usually needs a good businessman (or accountant in your case) to spot the flaw and make use of it. Nothing unlawful at all.

If they ever go into administration they’ll magically never mention 1982 ever again - ironically they’d survive using the same procedure we set a precedence for many other clubs to follow.
Actually, the Football League changed the rules after 1982, so that this loophole couldn't be used again.

Not really. You are on our forum. We are obviously going to focus on your wrong doings, rather than ours..!
Anyway, please link the sources from our recent attacks on Mother’s out shopping with their kids, numerous instances of horses being punched and several of fans attacking players. Our supporters club officers stealing their funds, our supporters making up public lies about yours attacking disabled supporters so severely that they change code, regular reports of players being racially abused at matches..... shall I go on...?!
Hence I try not to antagonise.

22 years ago, if yours was the same i wouldn't of mentioned it, I could also add headbutting coaches stealing supporters trust money, stealing items from the dressing room, punching police horses
Didn't realise there was a time embargo on what could be mentioned, rather strange as this conversation started by a poster stating that Gasheads are scum, due to something that happened in 1982!
To be honest, we could both compile lengthy lists of wrong doings, by both our own, (if we're being truthful), and the other club's "supporters". Just a vacuous willy waving contest really.

I guess they're hoping for larger attendances, having the smaller clubs at home - will make the figures look better for Harvey's spin. Can't see many Sunderland fans travelling down, when they've already been here on the Saturday.
I'm still boycotting.
