  1. Regarding the confrontations in the park afterwards. oh the irony! Had the game kicked off at 3pm it would’ve been pitch black in the park at 5pm and no one would’ve been able to see anyone, let alone fight anyone.
  2. Ok. Just let them smash the place up then yeah? What are the stewards, security and police there for?
  3. You do have to wonder where the steward / security were whilst the bogs were being torn apart. Go for a crafty fag in the bogs and you get an army of them turn up! Smash the **** out of the place and no one intervenes. Great stewarding!
  4. Don’t know why anyone would want to attend this. If the players or national FA’s haven’t bothered standing up and boycotting this tournament, then the fans certainly should.
  5. What were you served up then? Was it the quantity of food you felt wasn’t value for money, or was it the quality of the food? What was the starter? What was the main? What was the dessert?
  6. What do you expect for £20?
  7. Very sad news. I knew Al back in the 90’s but haven’t seen or spoke to him in years and hadn’t realised he was ill. I also didn’t know he posted on here as busterrimes. Rest in Peace Al.
  8. Glad you finally managed to post this Rob. Even though it was still being drafted in the pub at 11pm with a tray of shots in your hands!! Not sure how you remembered all that!! ?
  9. Hurrah. I only asked about this about 2 years ago ??
  10. Cheers boss. Managed to get one off Twitter now anyway, so all good ?
  11. Late to the party on this one, but if anyone has a spare adult ticket, I’m now on the lookout.
  12. I think there are a number of angles that are being portrayed in Gould’s message. 1) A message to the fans. Putting our fanbase into the realistic position of not expecting much activity incoming. 2) A wider message to the governors re FFP and it’s ridiculously skewed parachute payment system. 3) A message to other clubs that we won’t be robbed of our best players and intend to hold firm. 4) And this is the one which I’ve been mentioning for a while now. The internal battle at the club between finance vs success. As I’ve alluded to before, once a big offer comes in for one of our players, do the club say “sell, we need to balance the books” or does Pearson say “if you want success, you can’t keep selling my best players”. This is the battle that will rage currently. Pearson is a ‘big league’ manager and he will want to keep his ‘big league’ players. He wants to rebuild this club and he will want success. He will tell SL in no uncertain terms that he needs to keep his best players in order to achieve. The comment from Gould is perhaps the first inkling that Pearson is currently winning that battle.
  13. Interesting move that Dave. I do like the look of Morley. Be interesting to see how Bolton play now, with Dion Charles being a quick, run-in-behind striker and Morley being a technical, break-the-lines passer, you can see what they are hoping to achieve with these 2 moves.
  14. Anyone watching, keep an eye on Tyreece Simpson. I’ve seen him a couple of times this season and he looks a handful. Still quite raw but a real good looking prospect. Unfortunately owned by Ipswich tho ?
  15. I disagree that he looked “rusty”. He’s perfectly fit and has played plenty of minutes this season. He’s on it and sharp. The majority of his performance was good. His passing was assured, he was composed on the ball, he timed his tackles well. All he did was make 3 mistakes where he didn’t track the runner. This wasn’t because he was rusty, it was purely because he was in the wrong body position (square on rather than half turn), when the striker made the runs. I wouldn’t say it’s a case of rustiness. It’s just a case of a lack of experience against a much more experienced and clever striker. It’s a learning experience, no doubt, and I’d be absolutely certain that Pearson and the coaches will have worked on that aspect this week. The rest of his game was absolutely fine.
  16. Leicester were fined for breaking FFP under Pearson’s promotion year. He may not personally know of the finances of the ins and outs but he was the manager of a team which achieved success by breaking the rules.
  17. You are correct that there is no actual law against going in an opposition section, but the very fact that clubs have protocols in place to stop away fans from purchasing tickets in home sections, and that you could potentially be ejected from the ground for ‘health and safety’ says that it’s more than just an unwritten rule. I’ve been in plenty of home ends, and probably will at Fulham next week too if I can make it. If I do, I won’t be wearing any colours and I won’t sing any city songs or celebrate when we score. It’s just the way it is.
  18. Yes. He played in Grimsby’s 1st round loss at Kiddie.
  19. I’ll leave this thread now. No problem. Not sure how you can label it nonsense though. It’s what they said. It’s what they promised you. They lied to you. Are you saying that they didn’t actually say the things they said on that video? ?
  20. So you haven’t seen the video then? Where Fauci, CDC, Gates, Biden all say “you won’t get covid if you are vaxxed”. They lied to you. People like Klopp still believed this, until his recent infection ?
  21. Oh the irony. Klopp can eff off as far as I’m concerned. Spouting off the other week about how great his club are for getting everyone vaxxed and now having an outbreak, including himself, and requesting a cancellation because of it. Great script Jurg. You dick.
  22. Of course. Obviously my comment meant that he would have to be offered and sign an extended contract.
