IMO there is no such thing as a dead rubber with nothing to play for in professional football. Getting on for 2000 fans travelled for good distance and paid good money to support the team wanting them to play well and win the football match and get 3 points. Back in the day of 2 up and 2 down with no play offs many more games could have been termed as nothing to play for.

Tinnion has done a good job with the Academy and when managing the development of young players out on loan. My opinion is that he is unsuitable for the role he has now. Name calling such as this is in my opinion unnecessarily rude and disrespectful.

I certainly agree about Brian Tinnion. IMO miles out of his depth.

I don’t know how much he wants. If he wants his money back I suppose it’s about £200M. My opinion is he’d take a lot less for the right buyer but who knows.

I think I heard Ian say that Tinnion had nothing to do with the appointment of Manning. I’m normally defender of Ian but that has to be nonsense. How the hell can the most senior football person at the club not be involved. In fact I’d probably put money on that Tinnion was instrumental in identifying Manning to the board.

I’m fed up with watching what Manning is serving up but will definitely renew. Why? Because it’s my club and it’s what I do.

You’re missing the point. He is literally the only bloke who is keeping the club afloat. There is no one else waiting in the wings waiting to pay £20 or 30 million every year to write off our debts to keep the club going.

Of course he can. He’s got enough money to just write us off. We’d be knackered then.

It’s not anyone who has got £100,000,000. ask yourself what would we do if Lansdown said **** this I’m off. Who’d cover the £20 or 30 million loss every season?

I thought we did entertain tonight. I was there, although bitterly disappointed I was certainly entertained particularly in the 2nd half after easily containing Ipswich before ht.
