  1. Are you interested in buying the club then?
  2. Points vs Ipswich. Are you having a laugh?
  3. I was there. That victory has to be the best away win in my 66 years following City.
  4. Tinnion and Lansdown can’t allow Manning to fail by finishing lower than Pearson so loan signing sanctioned.
  5. So Steve has to sell up and leave. That means someone has to what to buy the club off him. Unless you have a few hundred million stashed away somewhere.
  6. Oops. That’ll teach me to watch before commenting.
  7. I was at that match stood down the open end with my old Dad. If I recall correctly Peter Cormack, who we signed from Liverpool, scored both of the goals. One a penalty?
  8. I don’t find it funny at all. In fact I find it rude, embarrassing and totally disrespectful to Jon and the Lansdown family. IMO If they stopped funding the debt we’d be screwed.
  9. I agree with the poster who said that the problems started when Richard Gould left. I also think that some of the comments on this thread about Jon Lansdown are both embarrassing and childish.
  10. With Sykes on the left and Weinman I’ve no idea where (did buggar all ) Tanner could either pass it back to Vyner or morph into Karl Walker and beat 2 or 3 defenders then cross it into the box.
  11. Ray Attaveld wasn’t any better either.
  12. Re annoying Tinnion. For me I’d always take Pearsons decisions rather than Tinnion. Let’s face it he played consistently at a higher level, has huge experience of managing several clubs and numerous players ( including internationals) over many years, rather than managing for just a few months like Tinnion and unfortunately failing dramatically. Pearson developed academy players and sold them for millions and integrated many academy players into the 1st team squad so surely his achievements associated to the academy and selection of young players are beyond criticism. Incredible that perhaps annoying Tinnion (and goodness knows how he managed to get the job of Technical Director) might have contributed to Pearson losing his job.
  13. So Mehmeti is awful, Bell misses an absolute sitter, Weinman had another shocker and frankly looks finished, Tanner is probably league 1 and fans pile in on O’Leary.
  14. I’d go to the Brighton CEO and ask them for some advice on who to approach. They seem to make good manager/chief coach decisions.
  15. Almost all of the players who are out got their injuries playing for the team. If I remember rightly there were an awful lot of training injuries previously. That, I think, is the difference.
  16. I’m not Pearsons biggest fan but on balance and to provide certainty I’m now of the opinion that he should be an offered new contract.
  17. Probably doesn’t matter much who the manager is if you continually sell your best players for about £80 million and sign mainly lower league players to replace them. Your likely to be mediocre in the championship with a lower mid table finish, at best, the probable outcome
  18. Apart from a few flashes of brilliance when he signed Mehmeti has looked a poor signing. After the first couple of appearances his form last season was IMHO poor. Many said wait until he has a pre-season with City. He’s had that now and so far he’s no better, possibly worse. The same regarding a pre season was said about Cornick, again he’s no better than last season. Pearson says he won’t make signings unless the players are better than we already have. Based on what I’ve seen so far I can’t see it with respect to Mehmeti or Cornick. Fingers crossed that they improve significantly as the season progresses.
  19. I’d be delighted with that. A season not looking over our shoulder would suit me just fine.
  20. I wish I had this level of insight.
  21. I thought that with Luton last season. Couldn’t have been more wrong.
