I’d go to the Brighton CEO and ask them for some advice on who to approach. They seem to make good manager/chief coach decisions.

Cardiff City away match thread

Almost all of the players who are out got their injuries playing for the team. If I remember rightly there were an awful lot of training injuries previously. That, I think, is the difference. -
Poll: Does Pearson Deserve a 24 Month Contract Extension
aa_bcfc replied to MelksRed's topic in Football Chat
I’m not Pearsons biggest fan but on balance and to provide certainty I’m now of the opinion that he should be an offered new contract. -
I was there.

Probably doesn’t matter much who the manager is if you continually sell your best players for about £80 million and sign mainly lower league players to replace them. Your likely to be mediocre in the championship with a lower mid table finish, at best, the probable outcome

Apart from a few flashes of brilliance when he signed Mehmeti has looked a poor signing. After the first couple of appearances his form last season was IMHO poor. Many said wait until he has a pre-season with City. He’s had that now and so far he’s no better, possibly worse. The same regarding a pre season was said about Cornick, again he’s no better than last season. Pearson says he won’t make signings unless the players are better than we already have. Based on what I’ve seen so far I can’t see it with respect to Mehmeti or Cornick. Fingers crossed that they improve significantly as the season progresses.

I’d be delighted with that. A season not looking over our shoulder would suit me just fine.

I wish I had this level of insight.

I thought that with Luton last season. Couldn’t have been more wrong.

Steady on mate.

Alex Scott - £25m to Bournemouth- Confirmed

Odd to believe that someone who who has an opinion differing from your own, on a platform which is all about opinions, is pathetic. IMHO Scotts performance yesterday was possibly his worst I’ve seen him play for us. At the game I was advocating for him to be replaced at ht as again, IMHO, he was playing like he didn’t want to be out there. -

Dave I wholly respect your knowledge and your insight but surely it’s no coincidence that Scott’s performance today was as poor as Scotts played since he’s come into the team. I accept that all players have an off day but in my opinion that performance can’t be excused an off day. -

Probably his best assist of the season. -

I don’t get the pre season stuff. He had a pre season earlier this season didn’t he? -

No don’t think so. Naismith is a liability at the back. -
Based on last nights performance is there any chance you could list his strengths?

I too was at the Luton game. I spoke to 3 separate groups of Luton fans before the game. Was at least a dozen people and none of them had anything negative to say about Cornick. There’s no doubt about it though he’s been, on the whole, poor for us. I can’t see what he brings to the team at the moment. I certainly hope that changes and will be happy to be proven wrong.

We certainly do miss Pring at left back. Three times Swansea picked out JD as the weakness in the air at the far post. On each occasion the Swansea player easily beat JD in the air and created a dangerous situation. -

Vyner distribution not poor but perhaps not of the very high standard of a few weeks ago. -

Might be something to do with having no real threat in the air. -

Without Vyner we’d have been beaten even more convincing.
