Guessing it was quickly arranged, maybe you need to give refs notice???

This was my feeling, I was running a bit late (but made it for kickoff) so was disappointed to hear that they did something 10 minutes before kickoff. I'd imagine (and hope) they'd do a minute's silence before the next game (maybe Man C?).

Bumped into four of the Korean team in Broadmead day after the game. All very smart in their team coats. I did say. Hello well played last nite. They did not seem sure what to make of it . Spoke in their own tongue to each other. Smiled and waved and busied them self's off down the road.

Maybe they were a bit reticent because of all the losers announcing to them that they weren't as good as the Korean men's team ;)

What does a “complete replacement” mean for a desso pitch? Does the plastic stay and the grass get replaced? Or does it all have to go? Anyone know?

From what I understand the Desso GrassMaster system is a series of synthetic plugs which are equally spread out and distributed (injected) using machines into the existing grass pitch. Quite like adding hair plugs to balding people.

So a full replacement would mean ripping the whole thing up, presumably the artificial plugs are reusable (at least I'd hope so).

That's fine, but it works both ways. In my experience the comparisons seem to be more than welcome when they're favourable to the women, but when they're not it's "shut up and stop comparing them"

What are you worried about? Women's football isn't competing with men's football. Women aren't competing with men in the world. If you feel like there should be a constant conflict then I feel sorry for you and any women in your life ?

    Done it before

Yes, I think yesterday when we saw Dasilva come on that Pringy was moved into midfield. I think Pearson really rates Pring (and why wouldn't he), I think we'd go with Kalas there for now though until he needs a rest. Just as long as we don't put Andy King there...

As usual the relatively unimportant part (people running on the pitch) has put the 2 main issues in the dark.  1 A grown adult manhandling a child with zero right to do so.. 2.  A clear assault against 1 that should be a matter for the Police.

I'd be interested in the view of anyone who works with kids.  Do you just manhandle a child if they're being difficult?

Or is it that 1) is actually someone doing their job and stopping a child from breaking the rules. The word "manhandling" is doing a lot of work here in these apologist messages.

Again it's just obscuring what the actual issue is: people not controlling their children outside or inside the stadium and a blame culture in which people have main-character syndrome and refuse to take any accountability.

I heard the steward had the kid around the throat which is out of order 100% . However the dad of the kid should be banned . We all know it’s criminal offence to be on the pitch in the first place . He probably thought oh they won’t do anything because it’s a kid . It’s pathetic , stay off the pitch.

You heard that? Lots of people had a clear view of it (me included). If you're talking about the second kid in the camo green top, he was not being held around the throat.

People will make up anything to avoid taking accountability for their actions .

An adult steward manhandling a child, how are you lot defending that?

There’s no excuse for anyone of adult age to aggressively touch a child.

How else would you remove a child who isn't listening/respecting the rules from the playing surface? Ask nicely? To me it looked like he was holding onto the kid to stop him running back on.

  9. Fantastic team performance and atmosphere and at the end of the day a few individuals wanted to make it about them. There were at least two kids who ran on the pitch, neither old enough to go to the football alone. So in this case the parents didn't care enough to stop the kids or raise them well enough. The handbags after doesn't happen without that.
