  1. Paterson 19/20 - 7 Lee Tomlin got 6 in 16/17 Just been looking and it's really poor pickings as far as goals from anyone but strikers go. We need another to back Sykes up, whether that's a "new" player or a tweak in roles/attitudes from someone here already.

Ref not gonna get any Christmas cards from Notts fans. 2 big calls already, both correct.

    Playoffs

I've seen the G*s posts on when they were there, that's about 40,000 in that end
  4. Popped in the Masons Arms in Stapleton earlier. They had a City sign up . As I took a photo, the Lady serving ( her son’s a Red ) asked if I knew the story. Turns out they turn the sign if one team wins and the other loses on a Saturday. So City have Pole position through the Summer.

I had Sheffield W to go up, shows what I know.
  7. Not exactly true. From what I can find there were around 15 teams supplied by Hummel in the UK. Of those , three have stayed or signed new deals. Everton, Coventry and Kilmarnock . Everton weren't affected anyway as they didn't use the UK suppliers. Six Clubs have left for new suppliers. Bristol City (O'Neills ) Ayr United (O'Neills) Millwall (Errea) Newport County (VX3 Sportswear) AFC Wimbledon (Umbro) Oldham Athletic (Puma) And there are some uncertain; Southampton (deal originally valid until 2026, possibly signed with Hummel main company) Hashtag United (webstore offline since November 2022, orders were ended from one day to the other - likely to leave Hummel) Fleetwood Town (22-23 kits sold for half price) Crusaders (virtually no stock for 22-23 kits and other gear) and no announcements; Northampton Town Hyde United Cambridge United I don't think the issue is leaving Hummel, reading about it just after, it was a mess. Clubs suing Suppliers, suppliers suing Clubs and nothing forthcoming about new stock. City said they had doubts about enough stock for the first team, they had already ran short on the Club shop. Leaving makes sense, at least short term as no new UK Partnership was announced for several moths. What maybe could have been done is look at the perceived "better" companies like Umbro etc, but I remember the fans moaning about Adidas. I can only think that ONeils fitted the timeline City wanted and agreed to supply our designs, which some manufacturers don't seem to want to embrace . The annoying thing the announcement of the multi year deal, now I don't know if these kits were rushed, I doubt it. If they were they could have done a short run to see the teams needs through, then do a better quality one. Looks like they may regret the decision, but the shop and the merchandise has been a ClusterFluff from day one
  8. Sounds like a comedy sketch when it ends with the Police saying no on safety reasons , but then getting a game with Cardiff instead
  9. I still have one I got at the time. I can still wear it ..... but not in a way that I could wear outside
  10. Home and away, this was a thing of beauty.
  11. I know it was going to happen, Wilder was short term, but Valérien Ismaël is the new Manager. It was due as they've only had 3 this year. That takes it , by my arithmetic , to 21 managers in 10 years That has to be a record.
  12. I know nothing but ... Mullin joined Wrexham partly to be near his family and Cambridge was too far . Ipswich is 60 miles further from Wrexham. He's 28 and just had 2 years in Non League. He's had 1 good year at L2 level and 2 at National League level. Yep £5M sounds a real Mark Ashton move
  13. I've never really understood how they thought they could worm their way out of paying. It seems the deal was done and as far as I can see, as he was on his way to train with them the registration was done. So they "owned" the player. I totally understand feeling bad about what happened and having nothing to show for a big outlay. But it does feel a little off.
  14. We beat Hereford 3-0 in the 2nd Leg of the FRT area final. Steve Neville seemed to take an hour to slot that 3rd goal, I was right in line from the enclosure and thought he was never going to shoot. The home leg was just 3 days after getting beaten at Hereford. No photos of the home Leg, you'll probably find those somewhere. Got a couple of the away leg.
  15. FASCINATING AIDA - Dogging
  16. This weekend just gone feels like it has had a big impact on the relegation battle, but we know what being over confident in the run in can do. Leicester - Liverpool (H) Newcastle (A) WHU (H) . Liverpool brilliant on their day, shocking when not, WHU ? Who knows Everton - Man C (H) Wolves (A) Bournemouth (H) Man C well.... Wolves have come good and Bournemouth hit & miss. Easier run in and a 2 point lead , but worse GD. It feels like one of these two will make the third place with Southampton done and Leeds looking likely to follow. I wanted Everton to come down, but that win could be massive for them confidence wise. The Man C game will be interesting, get hammered and all that confidence could fade quickly. A good performance and even a close defeat could see them have enough to edge away.
  17. In previous times proof reading was a given, by at least one set of new eyes, not just a quick glance at what you've written. A quick check of your own work is a road to typos, bad grammar and factual mistakes. As anyone that reads my Post will attest to.
  18. Undoubtedly .... source Bristol Evening Post
  19. It's shocking mate. I started calling them out when they did the Primark "adds". Every couple of days a new "must buy" or "people can't get enough". Either that or an actual news event which turns out to be in Blackburn !!
  20. If Taylor ( £10Million ) cost £350,000 , how does that relate to £4m ? "Bristol Rovers manager Joey Barton has declared that the £4million plus fee Burnley paid MK Dons for Scott Twine last summer is the “starting point” for any clubs willing to discuss the prospect of signing top scorer Aaron Collins."
  21. I don't think there are many, if any , full time local staff any more. The OnLine content is quite often copied/pasted from a central site. The Bristol Live bit is little more than an advertising wing of Primark. The Post , even as a local paper had been cutting back local journos for years.
  22. Did a R*vers supporter write that ? would explain the exaggeration ?
  23. Just watched the highlights of the Notts Co. game, it was worthy of an episode of the Wrexham documentary .
